My aux battery lasted, maybe 10k miles before taking a dirt nap. I removed it all together.

In my opinion the "plain jane electronics" and the "garage cover" make an immense difference in security of the battery and all other electronic/digital components on any vehicle. Mine is a 2018 full of these modern electronic engineering nightmares and it sleeps outside in the wicked winter elements. I think the days of engineered fragility are upon us. Will Joe Biden build me a garage if I switch to an EV?
My jeep only has garage time when weather is inclement, otherwise it sits outside. As far as plain jane, that's all I need. Not a bells and whistle guy. The 2 week stays in the garage is when we go on vacation. No use letting it sit outside when I'm not home. We take my wife's Escape for better mileage. You get what you pay for.

85,000 miles, just received the Auxiliary Switch indicator. Time to Replace both on stock Overland North Edition, a daily driver.

My truck is having the shits still. They replaced the regulator, and the aux battery and they kept it for half a week trying to diagnose it. To then tell me go drive it on the highway for 75 plus miles to charge/ reset the computer.... Why they dont install a new fully charged battery is beyond me. Anyway 200 miles later Im still having the cant use start stop need to charge battery DIC. And no they wont change out my main battery since it tests ok.... just like the aux one until i told them to keep looking.

When you say "regulator", do you mean the Intelligent Battery Sensor on the main battery negative cable? The alternator does not have a regulator in the traditional sense, it's voltage regulation is controlled by the PCM.

21 with 63k, a winch, fridge, lights, comms, and the kid's everything plugged in. Still running on the original batteries. She don't like going into stop-start much anymore which I don't really miss. I spect I'll need a new cranker soon, but I'll let her go a bit longer as she still starts up just fine and I can always self-jump from the fridge/camper battery if that is the only option. I'm a don't fix what haint broke kinda guy I guess.

Same as you. 21’ 21k miles no issues.

now the stupid remote battery…. ?

I have a 2021 JTM with 21K miles. Everyone has been reading post about how bad the main and aux batteries are and scaring the heck out of many on these forums.
I have not had any issues with my batteries. I would like to know if any of you have NOT had any issues and what are we doing different than others.
I do not have any additional electronics except my GMRS radio and soon a winch. I am in the habit of turning off the auto stop / start when ever I am in the jeep. There are many times that my jeep does not get driven for 7-10 days and it starts up with no issue.

Just wondering!!

Forums are funnels - people with problems will flock to forums and fakebook pages and talk of the woes. It makes it look like everyone has a problem when the fact is just the opposite - few have problems.
You come to a forum - you are visiting a hospital to see how many humans are sick and it looks like all humans are sick or dying.

On the other hand - "starting up with no issue" is not a sign of a properly charged battery and sitting will actually lower the life-span and eventually the capacity will drop due to lack of keeping it topped off.

Few weeks short of 4 years on 2020 before main started fail. Opted to upgrade to Genesis dual battery kit with odyssey batteries. Hoping I wont have to deal with next change for years to come. Next battery change willl be much easier now. Anxiety gone.

2020 JTR. 50000 miles with no warning or lights on and wouldn't start after leaving a restaurant. Jump started just fine. Replaced main with an Odyssey. I do have the ESS turned off via Tazer. Only issue I have is after replacement my fog lights which have been replaced by Baja Designs Squadron Pro's are intermittent. Right one always works and the left will at times and won't at others. Has me quite baffled.

You also need to replace the Aux battery. Stopping ESS from turning off the engine has no effect on the batteries or charging system. Both batteries should be replaced at the same time, and fully charged before installation.

Aux battery is no longer in the equation.

I have a 21 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel with stop/start with 55k miles and original batteries. I have A Pillar lights, a winch ND a power strip in my cap that currently powers my rear air bags. No issues but I will replace this spring.

Per the work order electrical relay part 56029766AC. So yea the PCM/Relay.
