I got two yesterday within a mile of leaving work. Both were Wranglers. Around this small town it's fairly common to get waves. I'd guess about 60%, but much of the non-waves could be just due to distractions.
I just got my wife a new Cherokee gonna be curious to see if she gets any waves.

I intend to train horn any non wavers. Either gonna increase hands up near me dramatically or destroy it completely ?

If you drive around with a passenger who is looking for Gladiators, I've been surprised how many pass that I wouldn't have noticed on my own. Some non-wavers are actually wavers that are just temporarily in their own heads.

I had been on a hot streak of waves thanks to the sunny weather... until Sunday. Pulled out of a parking lot, turning left into the two way left turn lane. I merged into traffic right next to a shiny new gladiator. I kept pace with him and we ended up at the stoplight. I looked over to wave, and he was staring straight ahead, never looked my way.

Move on to the next stoplight, again we are stopped right next to each other. He had his window down so I rolled mine down too and again tried to just say "Hey nice Jeep" but dude wasn't having it.

This continued for another 2 lights before I turned. Either he was completely embarrassed or totally zoned out.

First time I have anyone in a gladiator totally ignore me. He had some weird license plate so maybe it was a rental...

Chrysler dealers should inform buyers for the wave !!

In Quebec, in winter, usually the wave cool down because people have tuques, windows closed, doors and roofs on Jeeps. As soon as we go topless, usualy the wave come back. Is my first year with a Glad, as I got a JKU for a long time that I give in exchange for the Glad. Let’s see how is going with the Glad in the next years and here a pic for presentation (2021 Sport /with max tox package in sting gray) :

I'm still new here and this is the first I've hear of "The Jeep Wave" I have a 2005 Liberty CRD that I drive everyday and not once has anyone given me a wave. I guess it only applies to "real" Jeeps like CJs, Wrangles and Gladiators. I can tell you in New Jersey "The Finger" is extremely popular for all makes!

Lots of waves here in Central Alberta.
And, the sales lady told me when I signed the order docs to get ready to wave to lots of Jeeps.
I was already aware, and it is true here. Very few don’t wave.

I get waves daily here in DFW, it’s weird if you don’t get a wave.
