Threw down a reservation. By 2027 the wife will probably need a new SUV. Can always cancel.

Also, what is broken inside of me that i get excited for second row captains chairs or first row bench seats? maybe it's tied to my love of sleeper cars, station wagons, and manual transmission. Maybe i just like oddities.

Another company making garbage electric cars. The majority of people in the states do not want them. All one has to do is look at the sales numbers for these vehicles.
I would like to see a low tec diesel truck. Engine, transmission and a radio that's just a radio.

I'm assuming most likely the rivian/Tesla model of mobile service and service stations in big cities. Certainly poses a problem in more rural areas.
The website does mention initial rollout to 16 Metro locations. That's all I've heard. I assume they will have the same growing pains Rivians got.

Looks like collision damage will be cheaper to fix than Rivian as well. The rear bumper is separated from the sheet metal and the pickup bed being traditional style will make it cheaper to replace a quarter than the one side piece that the Rivian has given it's unibody.

I also think it was a mistake for them to mention pricing at this point. Given the track history with this reservation rollout system with a product available 2 or 3 years later (thinking Bronco/Cybertruckhere) it just seems to piss people off to no end when the finally launched vehicle is inevitably WAY more expensive than what was originally said. It's just too difficult to predict pricing that far out IMO. I expect this will be way more than what their saying.

It warms my cockles to see others appreciate the bench seat as well.

I don't hate it.

Edit: Put a reservation down for the Traveler. Terra would not fit in my garage unfortunately. Stellantis has two years to get their shit together.

I like the looks but is that width measurement right?

91.6" !?!?!?!! An F150 is only 79"

I'd be interested as a midsize, but as an overly wide full size, no thanks

That’s an awesome looking Rivian… I mean Scout.
That was my initial thought too.

I could see one of these or the Rivian as our next rig, or the 4xE. My wife is the perfect use case for a hybrid of some kind. She drives less than 50 miles a week, but drives 350 miles round trip to her mom's or sister's house once a month or so.

An extended range Traveler with 3rd row seating and I'd be sold...maybe...
