I think the company started as The Long Ranger in Australia, and uses Long Range America in USA. The product looks exactly the same

Yes, I just checked. The tanks are all made in Australia still. LRA is their stateside distributor.

I'm not a genius, but these tanks look different to me:

Long Ranger, holds 18 gallons

Long Range America, holds 17 gallons

Could it be LHD/RHD differences? Looks like the Aussie fill cap is on the left, same as US. Maybe the exhaust comes out a different direction around the transmission...

Diesel vs Gas?
I currently carry four 5 gal cans at the front of the bed but I pull a trailer and don’t have to live with fumes. A permanent tank would be nice but I don’t travel full time so not sure it’s worth the expense.

They only offer gas to my knowledge.

I ordered my tank today and while talking to their sales manager I learned some of the history of the tank manufacturer.

These tanks come from Long Ranger Automotive, who broke away from Long Ranger 30 odd years ago. Evidently there is still quite a bit of bad blood between them!

Yes, I installed it a few weeks ago. Love it. It's already saved me 100 bucks not having to pay California gas prices!
