Why are there holes low in the bedside forward and aft in my Sport S? Water and road crud comes right into the bed from the rear tires. I guess I Have to figure out some plug or mudflaps to prevent this. Maybe there is a CarPlug to install? Maybe Jeep forgot to install plugs? No other pickup I have ever seen has holes in the bedside like that.

Here's a pic of which holes are plugged from the factory. There are smaller holes in the bedside that are not plugged/covered, though from my experience hardly any road grime gets through those.

There should be plastic covers in them, if you bought it new from the dealership and they weren't they have them order them.
Thanks, I thought so.

They also forgot the locking wheel nuts on the build sheet. Sigh.

If you're talking about the ones next to the side wall tie down points. I have no idea what they are for or why they are there, but they have been present on every Gladiator I have seen and none of them have been plugged from the factory.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. Sounds like a bit of old bed mat and glue from the back side. I asked my dealer and they sent pictures of the same thing.

I have a good selection of plugs and grommets, one grommet assortment has no hole in the center so you can make your own. I used some of those in the round holes......

I get tons of dust coming in from the lower tailgate, it's wide open.

I did the same there as well. But what did you do at the top of the tailgate? I attempted sealing that spot where the canopy sits, and there's still a large enough gap on both sides that lets in a good amount of summer dust when the road dirt turn to powder.

I did the exact same thing, and even plugged the holes at the tie-downs.

Per your suggestion in another thread, I ordered the same seals. I need to put them in. I get lots of snow in.
