My Quadratec dead pedal finally arrived yesterday after 2 months of waiting. I ran out and bought a 13mm deep socket since I didn't have one. Got the pedal put together and leaned under the dash to loosen the nut and ...... that thing will not freaking move. If anyone has gotten one and gotten it installed, did you have the same issues, if so how did you resolve it?

Your username has Thor in it. So either Odin cursed you here on earth and you can’t move the nut, or you aren’t putting your back into it. Don’t bust a nut though.

Everytime I use Mjolnir on it I short out the truck and have to replace all the fuses. And if I use my full strength I fear I'll sheer the bolt clean off. It's hard being a demi-god.

Honestly, I fear this when my JT arrives. Had a few near misses on the JL. I feel your pain.

Mine finally came too. Just installed it a few minutes ago. That nut is freaking tight. I had to use a 13mm closed end wrench to break it loose.

Just leave that nut alone , put the pedal on the stem of the bolt and use a new nut on top of that

I should have ordered the pad. Oh well I'll add it to my next order.
I ordered the pad. It’s backordered but I didn’t go with the pad.

So do you have to remove it each time you want to pull the mat out?

If I had a 13 mm nut handy, that would be a breeze. Since I don't I'm in the same boat as OP & local hardware store closes before I get off work. Out here trying to bang the he!! out of a closed end wrench but it won't budge. Doesn't help that it's in a tight spot where you can't use a mallet or leverage it with another wrench. There's an auto mechanic 4 doors down from where I work and wouldn't you know it, they're closed for the week. I thought this would be the easiest mod I've done yet...
