leftie loosieWelp, guess it's time to get back under there and just torque the shit out of it.
If I had a 13 mm nut handy, that would be a breeze. Since I don't I'm in the same boat as OP & local hardware store closes before I get off work. Out here trying to bang the he!! out of a closed end socket but it won't budge. Doesn't help that it's in a tight spot where you can't use a mallet or leverage it with another wrench. There's an auto mechanic 4 doors down from where I work and wouldn't you know it, they're closed for the week. I thought this would be the easiest mod I've done yet...
And I replied that I had been trying to break mine free with a closed end wrench. Not being a jerk here, but I'm literally using the same thing and can't get it to budge. Don't have a deep socket in 13 mm or I feel sure I could get it. Have more tools at home than in my Jeep so hoping I can get it tonight.Read back. I said use a 13mm closed end wrench to break it loose.
Did you get it?Welp, guess it's time to get back under there and just torque the shit out of it.
I couldn't get it to budge with a deep well with and without an extension. I have a hard time anyway because I have extremely painful arthritis in my wrist and thumb. It finally broke free with the wrench and some choice words. And I replied that I had been trying to break mine free with a closed end wrench. I ended up taking the driver door off to get a better angle. Came loose on the first turn. Still no clue why it was so tough.Did you get it?
