There was some interest in hitting Rausch Creek late Oct - Nov.
If you are interested, what are your goals and what dates work? What level are you and your truck?
@Knightindullarmor says that he has a pretty good handle on some of the trails. If not, I did reach out to Off Road Consulting and this was their response-

'If the vehicle count is 6-8, the rate is $275.00 (For the group) plus the individual park fees.
If the vehicle count is 10-12, the rate is $300.00 (For the group) plus the park fees.

The daily park entrance fee is $56.00 per vehicle.

When you take part in an Off Road Consulting event you are not required to purchase the park's membership fee which is $20.00 per driver and passenger.'

Doesn't matter to me either way, I just do not know the trails that well and have had great luck with those guys in the past.

I'm in. I wouldn't normally go without a guided tour, but if the group feels it would be beneficial, I'll chip in. Oct is a little busy weekend-wise for me, but let's see what dates anyone else has available.

I'm interested. Will touch base with some friends too, we've been talking of doing Rausch soon. I haven't done it yet!

I have yet to get my truck stuck in/on anything, and would prefer going after the not-easy stuff.

No opinion on bringing a guide. It's sometimes great to have someone who knows the area, but I also like the adventure of learning a new trail. My trail map setup (Dash mounted iPad + GPS) has proven itself to be a pretty solid guide :)

I had a perfect track record of not getting stuck, until I failed to read the sign that said "Black Trail" thru the mud pit up there... haha! Needless to say, I lost my perfect record... Regardless, I'm all for exploring.

I might be in but I'd be all green. Don't know how that would fit in with a group scenario.

I think that the 'guide' idea is a wash cost wise. It is really about whether we want to follow them or just go for it. I am technologically challenged so downloading a map etc. is not for me. https://www.rc4x4.org/maps
If you are wondering, I took my stock JTR through Trail 11, Crawler Ridge and Krawlin for Cops. I have since added LCA protection (a must), a winch and 35's.
My biggest advice would be not highway tires, they cut easily on the rocks. Then LCA skids.
@Garemlin what if we started with the greens and moved up if people were comfortable? I am thinking a Gladiator centered group.

Been to Rausch a couple times in my old Wrangler and my Gladiator, used Off-Road Consulting once and they are great guys. It's also a big plus since technically they are "employees" they can boss people around and clear right-of-way for us. They also maintain radio contact with the front office and other guides all day which is very nice for avoiding congestion on the trails. One more bonus is they have their own side entrance to the trail, we won't be bunched up in the main parking lot with the rest of the public. Next time right as you pull off the main road look left, before you even enter the metal gate there is a side road - that's for ORC.

As far as my level, I prefer just to chill on greens with maybe some easy blues. I like going out for the sake of having a good time, I have no interest in testing my limits. With that said I was a Master Driving Instructor with the US Army and I have a 4" lift on 35"s. I would be more than happy to camp the night before and host a group class for us to just have a fun evening with some food and ease any newbie's concerns for their first trip.

RC has their maps preloaded digitally on the free Maprika app if anyone wants them, they allow your GPS location to be broadcast on their official map with the trail ratings and all.

Edit: Forgot to say, all dates work for me.

Hey Ethan, the camping part prior to the trail ride sounds like a cool idea. Also, if there are enough JT's that make it, maybe we can split off into green and blue groups, if that would work. I know I have to drive mine home (and most others will, too) and for as much as I'd love to push the limits, I have to keep it in one piece.

All the above...

LCA skids are about $200 shipped for all 4 corners. I really recommend these for stock-height (non lifted) Jeeps. Me & Nacho hit our LCA brackets a few times each in my stock Willys & his stock Rubicon.

I'm down for late October or early November run. Maybe make a weekend of it & do Rausch on Saturday, camp there, & hit AOAA on Sunday.

Me, BenBean, & Nacho have run a good chunk on the green trails & some of blue (about half of powerline & a few other fun... er... wrong turns ) at Rausch.

I'm good chipping in for a guide if we will run some blues, but its not really needed on the greens if we go as a group with some of us having already cut our teeth on Rausch greens.

@Garemlin what if we started with the greens and moved up if people were comfortable? I am thinking a Gladiator specific group.
I run P rated tires so anything with a lot of rocks would be a no go for me.

Is there enough to do green and blue groups? I am good with doing green just the same.
Green in the morning, blue after lunch? Green Saturday, blue Sunday?
What are everyone's thoughts?
(Just because I started the thread doesn't make me the leader, or final decision maker. It's a majority thing.)
I do like the idea of RC on one day and AOAA the other, don't care which is which.
Also, start throwing some dates around.
So far, it looks like 6 of us plus whomever Elise brings along.
@NachoRuby are you in?
Not a bad group. Yes, family friendly.

I'm game for any weekend Oct 23rd on.

Love the idea of hitting both Raush and AOAA, I had a lot of fun at AOAA last year!

One of my friends has opted in. He drives a JK and is great to ride with.

I'm going Aug 6-8 with NovaJeepers. I'll probably buy a 5 day pass pack so I might have some days to burn in Oct/Nov. Probably stick to the greens, maybe some blues depending on how the Aug weekend goes.
