If you needed to replace the Aux Battery, then the Main Battery is due for replacement. The average life expectancy is about three years.Help. Remote start stopped working in cold. Fob and accessory battery were replaced recently
I thought the same thing about the low battery. Even a CEL would cause it not to remote start. Don't know if a pending cel will prevent a remote start. Got to scan to see a pending code.If you needed to replace the Aux Battery, then the Main Battery is due for replacement. The average life expectancy is about three years.
If the voltage level drops low enough, Remote Start will not work. There may be enough in the batteries to start the engine, but the monitoring system has fixed limits.
Pretty much spot on sadly, my aux battery went out, shortly after my main went south as well!If you needed to replace the Aux Battery, then the Main Battery is due for replacement. The average life expectancy is about three years.
My bet would be just a weak battery due to the cold temperatures. A good test would be to toss a charger on it and try the remote start again. If it works then, plans could be made to address the batteries.Battery is #1 thing to check. If main battery is ok, still check the aux battery. A bad aux battery will mess up all kinds of things on your jeep.
#2. Is this the first time you have tried remote start after putting your doors back on. There are all kinds of threads on here about bent pins in the door connection. I had a bent pin and the jeep recognized it as having the doors off. The remote start does not work when the doors are off.
So, if it is not the aux battery it may be bent pins if you take your doors off.
Good luck.
