Did some say these will be $2199?
I contacted them. Got a reply really quickly, which was cool... I had asked about the "extension" bit which is probably just tacking on to the JLU step.

We begin production this week with close to 100 orders in the build queue.

Part number BD-SS-200-JT4..........2199.99

The extension is for uniformity but also we have a powered bed step (future option) that will fit in that area. It could be months or up to year before that option will be available. It has been patented and was on display two years ago at SEMA

You can place your order direct by phone at 435-752-4580

Hope this helps.

Thanks

so is the current setup 2 pieces, and the bed extension would replace the 2nd part?

Anybody able to find this info from SEMA 2 years ago?

I assume it would go in place of the extension piece.

I wasn't able to find anything about the SEMA display. I'd be interested to see what it is.

Getting in and out will do for me though, I don't mind launching myself into the Jeep, but a step would be nice... especially when it doesn't stay there and folds up neatly into body armor.

SO LAZY! Could have made the step 30% longer with another arm, or just extending the arm. Instead of improving the design, they just added on an extension and called it good.

I agree....after seeing it on their page.... it doesn't look like their prototype..... I thought it would be easier for them to cut 1 whole piece instead od extending with an additional piece? for additional $600? Not so sure anymore.

can't do this with rockslide. But for a decentstep to get into the vehicle, that also doubles as a rock slider, i think RSE wins.......

Just sucks cuz they could have made it even better.

These sensors are why i wont buy a RockSliders, they should set them up to work like AMP steps.
actually, from what i can tell you have to tap into the 4 door ajar wires under the hood on the JL for the amp steps, the RSE ones should tap into these as well instead of those lame magnets that you have to run to EVERY door. I'd rather tap 4 wires all day, or rig proximity to work.
