What the hell. I just bought a 2020 CPO at the dealer 3 weeks ago; first rain here and it’s leaking at the rear window. Why aren’t these recalled and fixed? @JeepCares what gives?
Because the true numbers aren't as big as they appear. It's always going to appear worse because of the "me too" bit of forums where people gather to compare gripes and problems.
What do they recall? All Gladiators when 99% don't have leaks?
I've owned two - neither one has any leaks (so far hahaha)
Local dealer did leaking rear window under warranty. They had a third party glass company come in to replace. First company could not do install so a second company had to come in. Told dealer service advisor in advance not to mess up vehicle as I have reviewed horror stories on this forum.

So guess what they did. They destroyed hardtop insulation/weather stripping, scratched paint under top, and stress fractured bottom of top. Looks like a pick was used for leverage when running defrost lines.

@JeepCares i took pictures of damage when I got home immediately. I have pictures of Jeep before service. Gladiator is 2021 and garage kept. Perfect condition with only 7k miles. I left message with service advisor, service director and general manager at dealership. They are contacting glass company to resolve. How long should I wait before calling back for resolution? Feel like having to wait for plan of action is salt to wounds.

That's just plain incompetence - those morons shouldn't be allowed near a pedal car.

Add me to the list!

Noted water leaking last Friday and definitely not looking forward to the probable hackery to get this repaired....... I'll be sure to doccument the condition of the areas around the window in case they screw it up. In the mean time I tucked some vacuum tubing in to the top void to seal it for now. I need to get this going I suppose since I'm right at 34K miles and out of body warranty at 36K?
We would be happy to look into your concerns as well. We're in private message to chat furhter.

44 pages - but how many are individual reports? Of these pages and all of the posts - how many are a unique leak report?
Also keeping in mind - forums are where people come to complain, and,
of the thousands of forum members, what percentage of members have the leak?
Forum members aren't even 1 percent of total Gladiator owners out there.
Say just for example there are 10,000 forum members, and 30 of them have the leak - that's .3%
I would bet we're talking not even 2 tenths of 1 percent of total JT owners.
Hardly recall or TSB worthy - and that's in part because of the leaks - the resolutions have been multiple, and the causes likely vary somewhat.

ok I will play... and your 2 HT gladiators experience of no leaks constitutes a sample size for no issues? I would defer to the valid issues posted by folks rather than dismiss them

I have the three piece hard top and noticed a water leak behind the back seat today. It’s coming in from above the sliding window. I know the freedom panels sometimes leak if not seated properly. But I have heard of anything in the back yet. Anyone having a leak back there?

After 3 years my leak just started, or I just noticed. I'm out of warranty so out of luck. Someone in this thread or another thread recommended Permatex 81730 Flowable Windshield & Glass Sealer. We've had a few very heavy rains since I applied the sealer and not a drop of water inside. Great fix for $7.

Nice! If mine leaks again I’ll likely go this route. Fingers crossed the body shop properly sealed it when they repaired it. Going on a year, so far, so good.

I now have a leak right at the top of the rear windshield on both sides, hopefully it doesn't cost me a pretty penny and fingers crossed they don't fuck up my truck. 2020 Rubicon with 46,000 miles so def out of warranty. :headbang:

Still waiting on my local glass guy to source my replacement rear glass. $1000 is a bummer. 2020 with 62k miles, so I’m out of warranty as well.

That is steep, unless the glass is broken jeep should take care of this.

Not even sure how they messed it up in those areas. They would have had zero need to access anything that low on the top.

Exactly. No reason I can think of for messing with these spots. Maybe lines for defrost or maybe leverage for install. Person that did this job had no business touching my Jeep let alone any vehicle. If you need to get between top and vehicle you use can remove top properly or use a plastic trim tool. Not use a metal pick Jesus.

So I just got the JLU Rubicon and it rained hard here yesterday. I get in and when I am driving and slow down there are a few drops of water that will leak from the driver side roof - if I were to draw a straight line vertical above the inner door handle. It did it a few times and is just annoying. My old TJ would do this but I thought they would have solved this problem by now! I have the body color freedom hard top if that makes a difference.

I am not sure if the passenger side was doing the same but it didn't appear to be.

Is this still a known issue and is there any fix?
sounds like a different issue. This thread is for leak at rear window. Typically around the sliding window.

Check the freedom panels are installed correctly or get it checked. There is an issue and thread for when it rains and you open door the water funnels straight into vehicle because of gutter design. They tried a quick fix for it but it’s just cosmetic plastic.

Mine has started leaking now. 11k miles. I don't know if it's worth the hassle of going to the dealer. A two hour drive one way and at minimum two trips and days off work. If it was used and not under warranty I wouldn't hesitate to do it myself.
Checked my daughters Gladiator and its leaking also.
