I finally got mine in last week and just heard back yesterday. Apparently the frame around the glass is cracked and causing the leak, so they have to order the part. I looks like at least 7 more days with the loaner...

what frame are they referring to? the hard top itself, or is there something else I'm missing?

The rear window glass has a frame around it it attaches to, and then that whole assembly is attached to the top. The problem on most of them is the frame part cracks and that’s what leaks. The 5th Gen Ram uses the same design and has the same issues as well.

Thanks for clearing that up. My local glass guy finally got my replacement glass in and it's scheduled to be replaced on Friday.

Another one with the rear window leak here as well. Dropped it off yesterday (Benson of Greer, SC) only to be told there's a hair line crack and full window replacement similar to others here. Hopefully the part comes in at the end of the month and then align a schedule with window company, dealer and me.
Update: Window was replaced by a local company that the dealership works with on things like this and after a month or so and some heavy rain I'm happy to report no leaks.

My dealer reported the same frame crack. Parts are ordered (assured brand new OE glass/frame).

Rain in Socal....mine leaks. I have the typical crack in the frame, visible above the rear window from the inside.

I read this whole thread. Not gonna bother with warranty. Don't need my truck screwed up by a bunch of minimum wage work ethic apes. Even if I got a good result....it is the design that is shit. The part has not been revised. A new one will just crack again.

Gonna pull the interior pieces and seal that side and try the weatherstripping on the outside for now.

NoticeD a small leak coming in top of the rear window. Had the truck since September. Third time I noticed. Scheduled for February 3rd for them to take a look. Guy said it may be $170 which they can go fuck right off because I’m well under warranty.

Took the back interior panel off. Broke 2 clips. They'll be rattling inside the hardtop forever now unless I can figure a way to fish them out. Oh well. Anyway, used a spray bottle and learned some things.

Watch these:

Weatherstrip did not work. Made no difference.

@JeepCares Does Jeep even care? Clearly they don't. This is a common problem going on 4 years now that I doubt a lot of people even know they have. The reason I noticed was I pulled the seat down to get something and there was a puddle of water in the plastic cubby.

9/21 build.

After 3 years my leak just started, or I just noticed. I'm out of warranty so out of luck. Someone in this thread or another thread recommended Permatex 81730 Flowable Windshield & Glass Sealer. We've had a few very heavy rains since I applied the sealer and not a drop of water inside. Great fix for $7.
How many 1.5oz tubes did you use? Did you apply across the whole top of the window? I'm thinking about using that and the vacuum hose method to really put a blast door around the interior. Really pisses me off. Every dealer in San Diego is trash so I have no other option.

1 tube. I covered the center 3rd of the window. There is some sort of clip in 2 spots. I went clip to clip.

Thanks. I had my wife sit inside while I doused water. She said the water comes in right at both metal clips. It then fills up the channel and leaks everywhere. Had to remove the interior trim piece to see this. My frame is also cracked top center, but water doesn't come in there.

My videos a few posts up show them both inside and out for anyone interested.

I'm at 7.5k miles 15 months old but screw the dealer. They are awful here.

New back glass scheduled to be installed tomorrow, hopefully it will be a smooth procedure. Was told to expect about 5 +/- hours for the swap and this dealership uses a local auto glass installer as well.

Good luck. Let us know. I think you should remove your rear seats and store them in your house. It's easy and that removes the chance some idiot will mess your seats up.
