Has anyone fitted in extra rubber or sealant to tuck in behind the top part of the glass ? Would that help as a "quick" fix to prevent water intrusion
I was thinking the same thing, I have some thin weatherstrip I can fold into a V shape like a rain gutter and stick it in there.

I just noticed mine leaking the other day when I washed it, granted I was pointing the hose right at the gap rinsing off soap. I park in the garage and just put the hardtop back on a couple weeks ago (soft top was on all summer/fall) and never noticed a leak before but I do remember cleaning the inside of the back window and it some streaks.

I was at the Jeep dealer the other day and was looking at a new JT rubicon and it was raining, you could see the water dripping down the inside of the window. I think I will wait a while and maybe they will come up with a real fix if enough people complain, doesnt look like its easy to replace that glass.

Update #2...got a call yesterday the glass was in, so about 5 weeks from diagnosis for glass to arrive. He called the glass shop and they said they could do it today, so I dropped it off this morning. About 12:00 I get a call that said they ran into an issue, so clearly my heart sank. Turns out the shop they usually use either didn’t know how or had the proper equipment to cut it out, so they couldn’t do it. He had to call a second glass shop, so now it goes back Monday to try again. Maybe the 4th time will be the charm ?
Update #3!

Took The truck in today and the new glass company was able to replace the window. Also replaced the broken trim panels as well and detailed the truck for me. So far so good, it supposed to rain at the end of the week, so I’ll check it then and see if it’s good. Luckily no damage to the top or paint.

UPDATE 3.5....SPOKE TOO SOON

Checked it over this morning and the latch for the rear sliding window is broken ? Waiting to hear back from dealer on resolution now. Rage intensified

Very unacceptable and unprofessional of them. @jeep is it that hard to have a rear glass which won’t break or leak on us in a 2020 year car!? We’ve had cars going back 30 years without ever having an experience like this

Update 4...I think, I’ve lost count ?

Dealership called back yesterday and had gotten the glass company who had inadvertently kept the old window (should have been left since it was warranty) to return it to them. They were able to remove the lock part of the latch that was missing from the new window. I stopped by this morning and they installed it on my window, only took 5 minutes. Yay for a latching window. Now I await tomorrow’s rain and hopefully no leaks. In fairness to the dealer, we looked it over this morning and it definitely looks like it was just never there, so it seems to be a manufacturer defect. They also apologized profusely for missing that, they were more concerned about the installation and that the hardtop wasn’t damaged or scratched.

Which dealership? Sounds like excellent customer service

Marlow Motors in VA. So far they’ve been good to deal with for both Jeep Wave covered maintenance and warranty repairs. They’ve also taken good care of my wife’s Durango too. Also nice is that they have service hours from 6-10

I have 1503 miles on mine, first heavy rain yesterday and my back seat is soaked to the point that when I lift the bottoms of the seats to the up position, water is dripping out from the seats (today, a day after the rain). Here’s to hoping for an easy process at the dealer!

Does anyone know if this is only an issue wit the 2020 models? I've gone through this and it seems everyone that is having an issue has a 2020 model. I don't have Facebook, so just curious if anyone has seen posts there with a 2021.
Any correlation with this happening in areas where it gets below 0 degrees? As in, maybe there is an issue where the seal shrinks/expands too much with extreme hot/cold climates.

Also, just to pile on, insanely crazy this is an issue.... You can see from the design of the rear that you will want to be 100% sure there is not going to be a leak from the back window as there is nothing above it to 'protect' from the rain. I washed mine today and was spraying at all directions at the rear window to remove any soap. I then checked and didn't see any water. Mine is a 2021 and only a week old, so....

I can’t address your other questions but in my case there haven’t been any extreme temps involved and it didn’t start leaking until I’d had it almost a year and the temps were moderate.

Add me to the list of leaky back windows (and side passenger above door). I'm not taking it back to the dealer until I start seeing a better solution all around - replacement hard top? After my debacle with the huge lack of quality during the steering TSB, I'm not touching my dealer if I don't have to. Which is unfortunate. Love the Jeep, but highly annoyed be a few persisting issues that need to be resolved by awful service departments.

Took mine in for a service today, asked them to check the back glass for I saw some water where the bluetooth speaker goes...

they called me back and confirmed it was leaking from the top part, the dealer took pics and sent them to Jeep.

they informed me they just had to do this to another gladiator not long ago and multiple 2019 Rams.

I was also told that the gladiator back glass took 2 months to arrive after Jeep FINALLY approved.

Was informed yesterday that FCA approved the warranty claim....now...waiting on glass.

The latest update on my damaged hardtop that was damaged during install of new glass by the glass company is the dealership has decided to order a completely new rear portion of the hardtop. Should be in within a few weeks.

My advice to anyone dealing with this issue, take lots of before pictures and go over the installation with thoroughly after.

Agree, can't stress this enough...photo everything inside and out prior to getting the window replaced.

I took mine to the dealership with the leak, and they pulled the window and resealed it. Said there was an issue with "bubbles" sometimes at the factory when installing it.

Took only a day, and through two rain storms so far, no leaking (or water slushing sounds when going over bumps).

Just went out today and see mine is leaking too. Wonderful. Should I have gone with a soft top?
Appointment later today with the local dealership.
