Has anyone experienced a wobble or shimmy from the rear end of your Gladiator after installing the rsi smartcap? Anything above 45mph the rear end shakes quite a bit. No issues before the cap.

Seems alot worse than a simple out of balance wheel, but the added weight may just be multiplying an underlying issue. Im also thinking I may need an adjustable rear track bar although not needed for the lift, I may with the addition weight in the rear.

Current setup for reference:
37x12.5x17 Cooper STT Pros
Mopar 2 in lift
Steersmarts adjustable track bar
Teraflex 1in leveling spacer front only
Fox ATS steering stabilizer
RSI Smartcap
Decked Drawer System
Any solution yet? I haven't experienced any wobbling but hope you get it worked out.

Nothing definitive yet, but I added a few psi in the rear which seemed to help. I need to chalk test it again with the added weight to make sure it's perfect.

I have noticed a little more "bounce" I guess I'd call it in the rear end at times when going over certain bumps. From what I've experienced, it seems like just the normal bed bounce/flex that happens sometimes, but exaggerated a little bit due to the extra weight on the bed. It doesn't happen often, just when you hit a bump just right. The cap is solid and doesn't budge so it's not something I'm very worried about at all.

I think all of our plastic bedrails are deforming. Seems to be a product of the force being only on the small square pad. I would love to have 4 clamps on each side with slightly lower torque. Still 12.2NM isn't all that high.

I might put full length rubber pads on mine to help distribute the load some.

For the rear blocks, I added several thin rubber strips cut out from a tool box drawer liner to add the needed extra height.

Good luck!
So what is the total height of the blocks supposed to be? I seems to recall 9/16" is that the total height or added to the block already there?
Thanks.

9/16" (or a little taller is fine) is the height we recommend be used on the rear blocks near the tailgate.

For others information...
I used red gasket material from the plumbing dept. (someone here gave me the idea). It measured approximately 1/8" thick. I cut them into two inch squares. I started at the back and put 4 under the block, the next block received 3, the next 2 and the front block 1. I did this to both sides. I didn't like the idea of not supporting the other clamps and blocks as it tapered to the front.
I know this is more than the stated 9/16" but when I put only 3 at the rear block the tail gate still dragged the D gasket and crushed the lift gate gasket. When you first put them on you will see light under the D gasket. Once it get snugged down no more day light and the fit seems perfect.
Good luck

I took the extra rubber seal that goes around the outside edge and cut four short pieces. I stuck two together and pushed them under each rear corner. I got some rubber washers from Lowes to stick under each one.

Has anybody heard anything more on the latest shipment of the EVO Sport? Wondering if the shipment has arrived in USA or still in transit?

Made a little change purely cosmetic, still love my RSI cap and would buy one again. Just didn’t like the sticker on back and , didn’t mind that RSI sticker but the whole door frame is vinyl, this is a long term truck for me even if the little V-8 comes out, ok maybe then, figured better to have an all stainless cap that grows old with me!

cant believe I didn't notice the decal covering the back. I may do that as well just to make sure the entire cab patinas similarly.

Yes, I didn’t notice right away either, but yes, I think it looks better and will look better years from now , sounds like second batch didn’t have it. Removing all that weight reduced my rear sag by 1/64 th of and inch ..Ha!......Jack

I installed lights in mine this weekend. I ordered some LED strips to go under the top rails some months ago. When I went to install them, I discovered that this area is covered up by the trail rails. So, I put them along the roof with a quick connect plug in the lower corner. The strips are too long, so they make a u-turn at the front corners and come back down the other side a short distance.
