After installing 35s and Mopar 2" lift in mine, I hardly noticed a hit to the power or MPGs... YMMV of course, but I would go for it. Now I'm just dealing with some death wobble... lol
Death wobble sucks, and I am surprised … I would make sure whoever installed it properly swapped the control arms, these trucks are too new to have some worn out components causing issues. Verify control arms are the new longer ones from the kit and double check the alignment …

So you’re telling me 35” and mopar lift will still get about 30mpg on the highway doing 70-75??? If so, truly amazing !!! I’ve heard 37” will do 23-25 on the highway … I hope that with a good tune I can get stock like MPG, more power with 35’s

Yep, they were swapped--I was the one that installed it :)

Didn't happen right away--only after about 10,000 miles going cross country towing a camper. Not sure if I prematurely wore out a component--I've heard that other folks have had their tie rods fail early.

I've never seen 30 MPG doing 70-75, so YMMV. My best gas mileage has come going under 60. I averaged 31 MPG on a tank traveling around Yellowstone, which was speeds under 60.

Right now, if I cruise control going to 68, I can get 27 MPG.

I should have mentioned the 30 mpg was the computer, not hand calculated. Was dosed with Hotshots EDT, I’d say I was mostly doing 70, pickup up speed down hills or when my foot was getting heavier.

Thanks for your experience, I will have no issues lifting and throwing 35’s. I was almost thinking of doing rubicon flares and 35’s.

I was watching a MythBusters episode regarding tailgate up vs tailgate down the other day. They hooked up a calibrated fuel flow meter to get specific readings. They tested at 25 and 55 MPH. The fuel flow at 55 was five times higher than at 25 MPH. That just goes to show how exponentially your fuel economy drops as speed increases.

Every 5 MPH matters significantly when trying to save fuel.

Right! When I was going 80mph it would make a huge difference … I forgot to mention earlier, I have a mopar roll up tonneau, no idea if that does anything, I’m sure it helps very little.

All of my numbers were based on the computer, so it's probably a little worse if I were to hand calculate. I'm in MA so it's pretty hilly where I am. I had been running Hotshots but got sick of it leaking out of the bottle in the cab, so I stopped. Didn't really notice a difference one way or the other.

I squeeze the bottle to create a slight vacuum and tie it in a grocery bag and stash it behind the seat, no leaks. I also wife everything down with paper towels before heading out… YMMV

I had a TDI VW that would see a 5MPG difference running a cetane booster, that was 2012. I don’t have enough tank fills to determine any difference on the JT. If nothing else, I just want lube for the pump and hopefully a little less soot.

Just drove my new JTR Ecodiesel home from Petersons in Boise. 330 miles, it took more than a tank of fuel to get home and the gauge was reading about 17mpg average for the first tank. Running close to 80mph with a 4 inch lift and 37's. Second tank was closer to 20mpg but I was definitly driving more slowly, 72-78 mph and only for the last 70 miles or so.

How does the MPG of the Diesel Rubicon vary with speed?

Like what MPG would a Rubicon Diesel get cruising on the highway at 90mph?
When I purchased my new Gladiator back in October I drove from the Kentucky line to Newport News along the coast to get it. First tank of fuel got 28.9 per the dash and the cruise was set in 80 pretty much the entire way. Drove I-64 back to I-81 and South from there. No idea about 90 but 80 was impressive. The photo attached was the last fill up. All the miles were in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia.

The JT won't go past 95. I've tried.

My Overland is rated for 110, but I've not gone above 98, and only hit that briefly while passing traffic on remote two lane highways.

EDIT: I forgot I was in the diesel section.

Do you have a lift and bigger tires? Also, what is that green light in the top right hand corner of your cluster?

The green light is the range and vehicle detection indicator for the radar for the Adaptive Cruise Control. In the picture, it is set for a maximum of 80mph, detects a vehicle in range, and is set for minimal following distance.
