Long before it could have gotten that bad, I would have pulled out my can of Rustoleum semi-gloss black. You can still do it after wire brushing the rust. Where you live, rust is a fact of life. Where I live, it is not.

Had mine since early 22.
Installation went well though the JT marked box came with a JK winch plate which Extreme Terrain, though not their fault, quickly rectified. (My first option to buy from is always with them. Fast shipping and great service.)
Right after I first installed it a couple tiny rust spots appeared which others complained of also. I had a choice to obsess over that or just keep an eye on it and I did the latter. A year and a half later and I can't tell you where they are because they haven't spread and I'm having too much fun with my Jeep.
The finish on those deep well impact sockets dressing up the light bar mount has had a much worse time.
But if I had to do it again I would probably order its cousin the HD Stubby because of looks and strength. The arcus is stamped, the stubby is welded, though I don't intentionally hit things with my bumper.

Has anyone repainted or recoated their Arcus? This is after just 2 years...

This weekend I'm going to hit it with a wire wheel and then try repainting it, still unsure what paint to use, but I'm leaning towards the Tremclad "pro" rust enamel flat black.

Local shop asked if I wanted to order another when I sent them this pic, ummmm, no thanks ?

It's the Arcus stubby. I also run it.

Yup, Arcus Stubby without the over-rider. Used the holes meant for the over-rider to install the Slimlite LEDs. I don’t have factory aux switches, so they are wired to the Voswitch JL300.

Also a Arcus bumper, Superwinch and Biglion.x 7" amber led lights. Has anyone found any touch up paint that closely matches the Arcus bumper?

Only been off-road with it once, have been through an Ohio winter (salt, god awful amounts of salt), and have not had a single issue with it and no traces of corrosion. The Diode Dynamic SS3 lights look great in it also!

I had mine stripped and re-coated due to rust after 2 years. It’s holding up better than it did on the factory PC.

I've got that bumper on my JK and love it. Eventually, it'll go on my JT. Thanks for pics with the hooks painted! I've wondered what that would look like.

The Arcus accepts OEM style fogs, and the DD has OEM style brackets. So it all went together.

I’m about to install the bumper. Should I spray some before I insta four bolts on each side? Will it help to prevent the rust in the future?
