That seems expensive for a 2021 with 55k miles.
I agree. But people are definitely asking more for the the used Diesels. Not sure if they are actually getting it though. I know I'd pay a premium to get a diesel over a Pentastar.

Currently dealing with it, my Gladiator has been in for over a month now for the transmission. The problem is how long every little step takes. They do a relearn, 2 days later that did not fix it. Star ticket, 2 days later they want a Valve body replaced, and it is on back order. Gets in early BUT they take a week to put the valve body in. They declare it fixed at close of biz Friday. I get it Monday, and it is STILL having issues. Take it back the next day. They flash the PCM for a TSB, after 2 days or so, testing and still not working. Now the tech is out on a Family emergency and Stellantis wants more infromation on the Star ticket.

I get things may not be fully right from the factory, but how you handle it is what matters. And Jeep has handled this very badly.

So we are purchasing another vehicle for my wife this weekend. I refused to look at Jeep products for her after this. How you treat me and my issues matter.

Metal grinding sound and brake issue? That doesn't sound major, at least not yet.
Yeah I was wondering the same thing.

OP, I get the 4xe dying on you, but can you elaborate on the metal grinding sound and what brake issue are you experiencing?

The metal grinding noise is still being investigated by the dealer, so I don’t have a diagnosis yet.

As for the brake issue, it was a squeaking noise. Another Jeep dealer inspected it and found that it was caused by a brake shim issue. They repaired it, and the squeaking noise disappeared.

OK, good. I've changed my brakes countless times and brake shims sometimes don't set properly. That should have been a 5-minute fix. That's good news.

For the metal grinding noise, that means possibly metal parts are rubbing together which is not a good thing. Could this noise also be brake related? (hopefully). Is the noise coming from the wheel well or the engine bay?

I am a firm believer that vehicles have gotten so expensive because with all the electronics, and failures they decided to build that cost in the price for each vehicle sold. So each vehicle comes with the standard warranty coverage built right in. Still a bitch to get things covered. Was told one my situation was unique, and the dealer had not heard of the problem before. Outside was thee other vehicles with the same issue waiting for parts.

I was a big diesel guy until the DEF crap. Then I said no more new vehicles with a diesel.

It’s definitely not coming from the engine. Since the noise gets louder as the speed increases, I think it’s more likely coming from the drivetrain.

Let's hope it's not the drivetrain. Fingers crossed and keep us posted.
