Financially you need e85 to be around 40% cheaper than gas to break about even as you'll burn between 30 and 40% more e85 than you will e10. When I had an e85 tundra I used e85 when it was half the price of gas or less if not I just used regular.

I guess nobody's taken the plunge into installing and running it on a JL/JT V6. Would be interesting to hear feedback. But I'm guessing the baseline would have to be a stock JL/JT. Most people are running bigger tires with different setups so fuel consumption would be different for most.

Before posting I did a quick search and nothing came up E85 specific.

Or is it a wash since you have to burn more fuel.
You burn ~15-20% more fuel at 52% of the cost. You don't even have to be decent at math to know there's a huge savings there. If the livernoise tune was available for my GPEC5 ecu I'd jump on it today. The extra 55ftlbs of torque would be an added bonus.

No thanks. E85 has way less energy content than regular gas so you mpg is going to suck and the corrosive properties of the extremely high alcohol content is going destroy your engine.

NO!!!! Junk fuel. You will definitely see yout MPG drop insanely. You'll save running straight regular unleaded with the added fuel you'd burn running E85

E85 is amazing fuel when you're tuned for it. Easiest HP to add to your vehicle. Definitely not cheaper than running 87. Almost a wash if you run 93.

Ok if you’re spending good $$$$ to change parts to use e85, I believe that will affect your warranty. I would buy a cheep clunker that uses e85 instead. But when I had my Avalanche that was e85 compatible, the mileage on hyw went from 18-14, city 12-8. But the octane rating is higher than premium at 100-105, that with a tune can add hp and tq. That is exactly what I did with one of those red boxes you plug into your obd port, but I can’t remember the name, but the Chevy definitely had more power, enough to leave a black mark in the road and recovered a little mpg, mostly in the city. With noticeable throttle response. Not sure how it would affect the Pentastar.
