I just drove down to Anza Berrago this week. Wind. I would not want to be towing anything with my JT. I feel the tail would wag the dog.

Largest load l’ve pulled with the JT. Rescued my sons truck, he was elk hunting about 40 miles north from home.

There are nice hotels in Moab and all over Colorado. I did the Nor Cal BDR with some buddies and we stayed in hotels for over a week.

Yours is just about perfect.

Back in 2005, above was my rig. Times have moved along. I didn't order the airco, it was on there by accident so they shrugged and let me have it. Total price $4750. Suby was like 15K. They put it on a 12 box axle with brakes as part of the deal. I put a seven pin on the Suby which was a manual tranny. It took this rig over the Ike like four times, at a steady 40 mph no problem. I sold it in 2017. 30K miles total on the trailer/suby and like three years of Ram 1500 combo over those and sold it for 3500 bucks in 2017. Yours is a lot more capable than mine. Enjoy... But note, no sag on that Suby stock suspension. But I coulda had a Turbo Forester with the Sti motor for 17 bucks more a month (93 bucks in 2024 bucks). Still kicking myself over that one though. Now being old, and my wife having her "requirements," I'm looking at a Lance 1575

It has a dry bath (her requirement), more room than you would think and specs are quite nice. For the "older" couple, this is perfect with a Gladiator and the regular tow package.

I regularly drag old cars around on my open BigTex car trailer. The first one to go behind the new used JTR was a friend's 914.

The tow capacity is why I wanted a Rubicon or MaxTow, and sadly wouldn't get a manual. I'm very happy with the truck so far.

We had a 3.6 sport for 4 years and it always felt like it was working hard. Now we have a JTRD and just have to worry about it overheating .

The toy hauler is 3200lbs empty and about 4800lbs loaded down. It is easier to tow with the diesel even on 37s.

Do you know what the weight is on that dual axle camper? How does it tow?

My 2020 JTR with 37" pulling our new Puma 20MBC. I wasn't sold on the idea of a murphy bed, but very happy my wife talked me into it. Our last camper just had the solid bed, with a family of four there just isn't space in the dinette to hang out. Really nice on those rain days to have a couch to chill on.

Longest trip has been from the dealer home, then back to the dealer to change out the water pump under warranty. That's about 75 miles south. Tows with no issues. Most of our camping spots are 15-45 minutes away

What is the weight on that trailer?
