That timeframe is a few years away. Who knows what can happen in that time.
You can count on the Dakota just being a small Ram to directly compete with the Colorado and Ranger. After reading more articles on this, it seems the new Ram "Dakota" will be built there in addition to the Wrangler and Gladiator. This timeframe appears to coincide with the next generation Wrangler and Gladiator. The question I have is will the Dakota be more Jeep or more Ram and will the new Gladiator be more Jeep or more Ram?
Isn't that what the Gladiator is supposed to do?You can count on the Dakota just being a small Ram to directly compete with the Colorado and Ranger.
I don't think most people are cross-shopping the Gladiator with the other midsize trucks, unless they were already considering a Jeep, or already had a Jeep and needed more utility.Isn't that what the Gladiator is supposed to do?
more like shopping a midsize truck that is quiet, not hot, etcI don't think most people are cross-shopping the Gladiator with the other midsize trucks, unless they were already considering a Jeep, or already had a Jeep and needed more utility.
I am hardly a market expert, though.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. I would think they compete more directly than not. The JT made a lot of believers out of Tacoma fans, myself included.I don't think most people are cross-shopping the Gladiator with the other midsize trucks, unless they were already considering a Jeep, or already had a Jeep and needed more utility.

A 7% market share in the midsize pickup category says otherwise lolI wouldn't be so sure about that. I would think they compete more directly than not. The JT made a lot of believers out of Tacoma fans, myself included.
There are outliers in every data set.I wouldn't be so sure about that. I would think they compete more directly than not. The JT made a lot of believers out of Tacoma fans, myself included.
