I said this before on yet ANOTHER similar thread but here goes anyway.
The 3.6 is light and does just fine . How fast will that V8 get ya through Moab or the Rubicon. Take the V6 anyday of the week. Now if someone gave me a V8 gladiator I would gladly accept it and sell it to someone who thinks that V8 is advantageous in an off road application. If a person is a mall crawler and they want to keep everything spic & span and waxed and ceramic coated and pose and so on to each their own go for it. I dont even want to experience that gas mileage.

Maybe, if I was in the market for another truck, and it was decent enough fuel economy, but I'm not going to sell or trade my JTRD for one, especially if it gets sub-par fuel economy.

Power is great, but if I can't afford to drive it farther than the grocery store then whats the point?

But it'll never happen, definitely not at 50k MSRP.

I am not new to the forum or Jeep community. I bought a gladiator when it was first revealed in 2020 and have owned built 4 since the release. I was excited when the hemi fake announcement came out…but it kept me wondering. If stellantis is serious about putting v-8s in everything to make up for lost time, how do we feel. I can’t speak for everyone here but I truly believe if stellantis wants a hit, build a shit ton of gladiator sports in the 5.7 hemi with either a manual or automatic and it will cover the upgraded cost of only building 392 and $100,000 jeeps. They need to know the audience and we want a blank slate to build. Look at the Amazon slate trucks…we are just like that but only more loyal. You do the hard work jeep and put a v-8 hemi sport and let us change the axles, lift, wheels, tires, etc. we can build an amazing jeep that has a 5.7 in a manual or automatic with manual windows and you will take the market by a storm. Its time stellantis listens to it’s audience like bringing back the v-8 but make it attainable to the masses.
I would purchase a 392 Sport.

I was having the oil changed yesterday and browsed the showroom. 392 Rubi $107K. Ain’t happening for me. And this from a guy who owned a 5.0 Mustang and a SVT Cobra.

If I can get a sport with manual windows and locks at a reasonable price then I'd probably trade mine in as soon as I found one.

What are the chances,if they even offer it, that a 5.7 will get 14-16 mpg average on the street. Every v8 that comes into my shop ranges from 10-12 average mabey 13 at the best on the dash. I’d love more power but at the cost of fuel efficiency big NO. I drive an hour or two from my house to get to the offroad areas sometimes 5 hours for camping trips, I could only imagine the gas bill I’d have to pay for my play time in the v8. I know the wrangler 392 drinks gas on and off-road so I definitely don’t want the 392.

CAFE fines don’t apply to Rams?? Correction, DIDN’T apply to Rams as the “One Big Beautiful Bill” removes those standards…..problem solved!
The Big Beautiful Bill doesn't remove those standards.

And it does apply to Rams at a different calculation.

This may come as a shock, but Rams are a different length, width, height, and weight than a Gladiator.
