if they spoofed your number, that’s very illegal. You can report it to FCC and state a AG.
A less ethical person could probably successfully sue for damages in a small claims court, claiming a significant fight with the spouse that led to loss of consortium. Just sayin

I don't think that's what he is saying happened. He's saying they tried to text his wife, but they ended up texting him again anyway.

They just have both our names and numbers. Also, I don't walk around with a tin foil hat so that's not gonna happen.

Tell you what! Was pretty fun to have a 4xe this Tax season. Have not seen numbers in the black for years?
If my wife hadn't recently traded for her 2021 WK2 and if she wasn't so in love with it, I'd be looking in that direction for her as she LOVES driving past all kinds of gas stations. She sees a range of over 500 miles ever time she fills up and it's rare we need to put gas in her Jeep as it is. Imagine her having one of those setups -

It's still not worth it. Neighbor has 4xe JLUR. He can keep it.

Far more logical for me to start a consulting business and write off transportation than deal with a Jeep I have negative interest in.

Eh. The 4xe is for pretty specific people.

My wife happens to be one of those people. She drive 9 or so miles round trip to work. Most of her friends and family are within the 20 mile trip.

We've had her Jeep for close to a year now (got it early summer?) and she had put gas in it maybe 4 times.

She was over 1,000 miles before filling up.
She also cracked a windshield and had to get it replaced before needing gas.

If your commute is more than 20 miles OR you don't put time between trips (to recharge) it is pointless. Not MY type of Jeep.

It IS fun to skinny pedal, honestly.

Sure but that means she should look at something other than the 4xe. Mileage is OK for about the first 30-50 miles. If you read on the 4xe forums the mileage is terrible. If you can stay within electric only range and charge before you go anywhere, it's great. It would work out for me on my short commute to work but if you're driving further than the electric range the mileage tanks. It's got the worst mpg rating outside of electric than any other Wrangler (excluding the 392, though there are reports there of people getting 20+). People are seeing 20mpg and below and it's the 4 cylinder.

And what you say is exactly why I'd not go blindly into it without asking people who have them, and posting here or there so people like you can add actual experiences.
Her normal drives are 30-45 minutes, sometimes a bit less at 20 minutes (speed limits to get out of our area is 45)

I know you wouldn't :) But you also know the average consumer isn't like you lol. They listen to what the limited (and sometimes wrong or made up) 'knowledge' the dealer gives them. And of course it's usually all rainbow and unicorn farts from their end. The real world hits people but then they already have your money and your service's problem now.

Everything but highway driving above 55 or is actually pretty ok even if the battery has depleted. Florida freeway speeds of 70-80 though and the mpg on 35s is worse than the mpg on my 2.5 inch lifted rubi on 37's with an empty curb weight of 5500lbs or so. It definitely fits a few specific niche's though.

1) The first is the less than 50 mile round tripper that wants a jeep, this will get you the best mpg and most performance this side of a 392.

2) Then there is the my commute is less than 30 miles so I can use all electric and pay a fraction of the price of a gallon of gas. This is my wife

3) Last is the I use my electric drive train like a crazy supercharger and give no shits about mpg. Personally I wouldnt mind a 4xe gladiator mostly for that last reason, my mpg is already pretty shitty but I'd love near v8 performance with the ability to use less gas around town.

I still think the electric/hybrid cars are a bad buy. You never really make up the extra cost for the vehicle in gas.

Let's say you get a Wrangler 4xe Rubicon. The cheapest you can get is $59,090. A base gas 4 door Rubicon (manual transmission even) is going to run you $46,495. That's a difference of $12,595. Even if you are paying $5 in gas to fill up that gas Rubicon for a total of $107.50 per fill up, and somehow magically never ever even once have to use gas in the 4xe, it will still take you a little over 117 fill ups before you have saved money by getting the 4xe. In reality you're still using gas, and at some point those batteries are going to need to be replaced, and that's an easily $10k+ fix if you go through a Jeep dealership. You end up never really make up the price, or come close to being about even.

I'm definitely pro EV, but the cost of batteries needs to come down before I'd ever consider buying a hybrid or electric vehicle.

Ya but you have to remember, I think a similarly equipped Rubi (non-4xe) is only about $4k away from the 4xe rubi. When you add in the fact that you can get the up to $7.5k tax credit, it may be cheaper to buy AND own the 4xe. If you're going to compare it should be similar trim/equipment. I don't think anyone looking for a Sport is cross shopping with a Sahara 4xe that is loaded by comparison.
