I don't want to jinx myself, but the last visit to the dealer seems to have fixed it. 2 weeks with no check engine light (in 5 months that's the longest its ever been off). A lot of stop and go and 2 trips to the mountains wheeling. Still good. Fingers crossed.
Last time (back in February) they replaced the PCM. The check engine light came back on 20 miles later with P0300 code and also a PCM error code.
I finally got it taken to another dealer. This time all they did was adjust the PCM connector. They said it was not connected all the way...... I was very skeptical it was that simple, but...
So far so good.

Final update (hopefully):
Received vehicle back last week with new camshaft phasers. All power has been restored and no check engine lights since. Service Appears to have resolved my issues, good luck to everyone else!

I will add to the thread.

Build date: Year 2020 (Based on VIN), Forgot to look at door sticker before I took it to the shop
How many times has it occurred: 1
What exact codes: Don’t know, but technician said it was misfiring on a cold start consistently.
Is the issue on going? Y
Milage: about 1,400.

Purchased my Gladiator Overland on 5/4/20. After the first day, I had to take it back to get the battery replaced because the Start/Stop light would not go off. Drove it quite a bit this last weekend, and the Start/Stop light came on once, but did not reoccur. Last night we went to run an errand, and the check engine light came on after leaving the driveway.

Dropped it off at the dealer this morning. The first thing I was asked was whether I got gas recently. I mentioned I was reading the threads in the forum and I doubt it was the gas.

Called them back about noon, and was told it was misfiring on a cold start and there were other Gladiators in the shop with the same issue. The Star techs do not know the cause but the dealership is working with them. It sounds like it will be in the shop for awhile.

Just to echo other’’s frustrations, this is very disappointing at best. This is my first Jeep, or for that matter my first FCA vehicle and I think the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased. In my lifetime we have had multiple Ford vehicles, 3 Honda Pilots, Honda Civic, Toyota Prius, and I don’t recall any issues within the first year of owning them. In fact the Hondas and Prius never once had a problem other than a recall,

That said I love this thing, it is fun to drive, and was looking forward purchasing a small camper trailer to tow with it. My son told me it was like the best of two vehicles I used to own. Explorer Sport Trac because of the bed, and a Mustang Cobra convertible because we can take the top off.

I have a bad feeling this isn’t going to end well.

Oh the irony, Looks like the forum website was crashed when I first tried to post this, and literally less than 10 minutes later the dealer called me to notify me that my paperwork was ready for registering my vehicle / pay property tax.

Kick me while I'm down :).

Hi, I will add to this thread. Took delivery of a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon on May 12th (not sure of build date).

At 160 miles, get message in the center that stop/start is not available and needs to be serviced. Shortly thereafter the CEL comes on. Take it to the dealer, code reads PO330 - Miltiple cylinder misfire. Dealer clears code and says it was likely because the vehicle had been sitting on the lot five months.

At 288 miles, I get the same start/start message and the the “A with a circle and !” light comes on. At 294 miles, the CEL comes on. The “A with a circle and !” light eventually goes off, but CEL stays on. Take it back to dealer. Said same code was read and they have contacted FCA for more information.

Hopefully this can be resolved, but is frustrating nonetheless as the vehicle is out of service with about 300 miles on it.

I got my Gladiator 4/28/20 and it is still in shop. ESS CEL. Dealer can’t resolve it. Working on buyback. 4th Jeep product. Can’t believe this....I put less than 200 miles on it.

Is the issue on going? Y
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? Will hopefully find out today.
Was the issue ever fully resolved? Bought this vehicle on May 1st, 2020. Let’s hope we can get this resolved. My issue started the same way as many others here. Yesterday the CEL came on. I did the tightening the gas cap thing. Then I got the service the auto start warning. I remote started it as I left the office last night and it cut off in less than a minute. My hunch is that it will throw a misfire code. I love the truck. I will update. @JeepCares This is happening a lot on very low mileage Gladiators. How can we work with our dealerships to make sure the real issue gets addressed?

Update: My wife took the JT to the dealership. They said the code indicated the gas tank got too low at some point. The tech’s comment says “Code was a stored code. Cleared codes. Check all systems. Code did not return.” They didn’t give her the actual OBD II code. We never ran it to empty. The closest we got was an estimated range of 40 miles until empty last weekend when we went on a short trip to the beach. So, we will see.

Thanks for the update. Hope that is the case. Haven't read that diagnosis before. Keep us posted.

I ran my estimated range down to 5 miles on purpose a few weeks ago, and I didn't have a problem. Not disputing what they told you as I am no mechanic, but it seem strange. I have read people have had misfires in other vehicles when they let the gas run low. Sometimes due to low fuel pressure, but I don't think it is common. My OBD light came on weeks later and was a multi cylinder misfire.

A quick update on mine.
Later in the afternoon on the the 5/27 after I dropped it off at the dealership, I went to pick up a loaner and the dealership told me I had a multi cylinder misfire on cylinders 2,4 and 6 on a cold start. He said that tells him that it was not fuel related and "HE" had a theory that it might be a casting defect with the engine. He also said they have sold a large number of Gladiators and have not seen this issue until this week where two, including mine exhibited the same issue. After the engine is running just a bit, no misfires occurred. Also the build dates on both Gladiators were within 2 days of each other. I hope this is significant and helps them find the solution sooner.

The next morning he called me back and said that I should plan to keep the loaner awhile as engineering called them and told them not to do anything with my Gladiator and the other guys until the engineer dismantled one they had which had the same problem. The plan was for them to take apart the on the engineer had and hopefully figure out root cause. It also sounded like this is becoming more of a widespread issue and they are taking it pretty serious.

So far I have been pleased with my dealerships responsiveness, I hope they have some additional information from the engineer later next week.

This has been happening for months not just a few weeks so the guy at the dealer is full of shit. If he got that info from FCA engineers they are full of shit too. Its seems you are getting the run around and if you take the bait you are in for a long ride.
