The fact there have been ZERO leaks... makes me believe it won't be a massive change over the Wrangler updates. But I'd love to be wrong and see a 392 or 4XE
Well… this turned out to be a true statement. Very underwhelming

And someone tell me why they still don’t offer a 35” option on the Mojave x or rubicon x.

The Willy’s gets it.
Even considering it's an upfit package, it seems like they are devaluing the Rubicon & Mojave. There should be a XR package with the Mopar lift and 37s for both Rubicon and Mojave, then the Willy's with 35s would make sense... but "should" and "make sense" aren't things Jeep or many other companies pay much attention to...

37s wouldn't meet Jeep's OEM durability tests imo.... 35 is max we are going to get on Dana 44s.

Other than no 4xe, this is basically what I was thinking it would be. Wranglers get brand new generations like once a decade right? So I figure we have another 2 or 3 years at minimum with the Gladiator before we get some all-new Gladiator model.

The Wrangler got the 4xe treatment a couple years after the introduction of the JL. It wouldn't have been totally out of character for the Glad to have gotten the 4xe treatment now.

Is the screen/dash/connect 5 adaptable to previous models?

Looks like I'm stuck with my JTRD for at least another year.

How long must I suffer ?

Looking at the vent placement, I’m gonna guess not adaptable without some minor modifications

I've been looking at that. I think no. Or that it'll be very, very difficult.

I think I've noticed something new today about the new dash. Not only is there the whole screen and a/c vent going on, but does the strip below it with the a/c controls come out farther than before?

Look at the hole that the start/stop button is now in:

My prediction is they will run out this model's lifecycle then not replace it, and instead focus on the Dodge Dakota or whatever they call their mid size truck.

The only way the Gladiator gets a 2nd generation is if it heavily shares parts with the new mid size truck and wrangler... but even then I imagine Stellantis leaders on the Dakota project want to focus all efforts on that.
agreed.

At the beginning, Jim said 3 tops. What's the third? Is there something on that half door top - it looks skinnier than my hard top?
I think he's referring to the 1) hard top painted body color, 2) black hard top, 3) soft top. At least that's how they've always been split on the online configurator.

I gotta be honest, I'm fairly surprised they took away the diesel and did not replace it with a 4xe. With every manufacturer scrambling to build a truck (even VW wants to bring their Amarok here), I don't see the JT going away, but it's a head-scratcher for sure. Perhaps it's to align the JT with upcoming Dodge Durango production and then they'll both roll-out an electrified version. [shrug]

I was wondering the same thing, scouring threads, looking for someone who’s done it. The whole dash has to change. The gauges screen is nice but off road mode crashes all the time, so I honestly only use the built in screen for CarPlay and I’ve got my Garmin for navigation. If it was longer, half of it would be obscured by the Garmin. The problem with the new Uconnect is that it leaves little room for any aftermarket devices and as a navigation system it sucks. I also really don’t get the form factor; this long ass screen that bleeds into the passenger space. I don’t know what that offers me.

Edit: on further inspection it doesn’t bleed that far into the passenger space. It looks like 1/4-1/3 would be obscured by a nav system or iPad. It’s more efficiently packaged than the current gen. From a UI/UX perspective I still don’t see the change being particularly useful

That was a horrible presentation. Like truly one of the worst I've ever seen. And the new features were not worthy of that type of presentation. The new features could have been easily covered in a press release. Which essentially that's all the presentation was. An executive reading/butchering a PR document.

about what I expected. Looks very nice and some cool new features. Nothing earth shattering for sure, and as expected, no more eco diesel.
I am glad there is nothing so cool I have to have one, lol. Will stick with my 22.
