I’m content with my comfy old running shoes until I go for a 10 mile jog

I would have ordered one immediately if the announced a 5.7, 392, hurricane, or 4xe. Are they just goin to wait until next year? Now, I’m looking at the trailhunter or Grenadier

I am happy with the 3.6. If they offered the V8 and 4XE, I would still buy the 3.6.
Honestly, I'm OK with the 3.6 as well but I don't see gas prices going down anytime soon and the 16 MPG I get hurts every week. The 4xe isn't going to do much better on gas but I could make it to work on electric only, plug into 220 at work and drive back home on electric only. Won't use much gas over the week. When I have a long trip to make I don't have to worry about charging. With the Tacoma hybrid, it will have V8 power and probably get 22-25 MPG. I might even be ok with Toyota's non hybrid turbo 4 because it matches the 3.6's power. I just hope their new transmission is better than the last one.

My prediction is they will run out this model's lifecycle then not replace it, and instead focus on the Dodge Dakota or whatever they call their mid size truck.

The only way the Gladiator gets a 2nd generation is if it heavily shares parts with the new mid size truck and wrangler... but even then I imagine Stellantis leaders on the Dakota project want to focus all efforts on that.
And when that happens, I will forever be gone from what’s left of Jeep.

They really threw a solid hip check on me today…I’m closer to being doing with these guys than ever before. I’ve been a sucker for Jeep since I was in high school (mid-80’s)…and I’m rapidly running outta steam here.

Welp, I am REALLY glad that I went for all the discounts on the ‘23 now. I have loved driving it the last two months and it would likely be months more if I had waited for the ‘24.

Do you think the AEV package with 37” tires will come regeared?

Thinking back the one thing that stands out to me was that an overland was spotted “in the wild” (all those pictures around June) yet it appears they are getting rid of that model.

And someone tell me why they still don’t offer a 35” option on the Mojave x or rubicon x.

The Willy’s gets it.
At least with the latter two (or any current Mojave/Rubicon) 35's are only a tire change away.

Naturally aspirated V6 is dead for 2024, they're all turbos now in the Tacoma, ranger and chevy. Chevy is 2.7 turbo 4, ranger 2.3 turbo 4 and 2.7 turbo 6, Tacoma 2.4 turbo 4
Therein is the cool thing about the 3.6. It's not a 'great' engine but it works and is comparatively simple and reliable. The fact that it's now the sole standing largish displacement NA v6 in the category is a feature I'd say.

I'm sure the competing turbos will be reasonably durable, but I don't think folks will seek them out on the used market in 15 years, the 3.6 will stand out for that reason.

Well shit... I was ready to order a 4xe. That was very disappointing. Between no 4xe and the UAW shenanigans, looks like it's going to be a Tacoma TRD Pro with the hybrid for me unless Toyota dealers try to bend people over with "market value adjustment". (or Wrangler Willys 4xe ;))
Don't worry, Toyota will come for your culo with their sky high APRs. I found that out the hard way when I bought the wife a new Prius.
