DV8 FBSHTB-17 with Apex Badland 12k winch. I did use the adapter brackets from DV8 for a JK to JL bumper install.

Also, the OEM fog light brackets work perfectly with this bumper. I had Halogen from the factory but replaced with aftermarket LEDs when I bought the Jeep. So halogen fog lights on a JL seem to share the mounting pattern with the JK. I posted a pic of them installed before mounting the bumper.

So, a little over a month ago, I hit a deer. I saw em just in time & turned left, mowing em under the passenger side. Got a slight bend in the front bumper, some fur, & spatter. Other than that, amazingly there was no other damage. Just ran over 'em & torn 'em open from the frame horns hangin down. All the lights still worked & no body damage. I figured now I'll put on that Deegan 38 front bumper & winch that I bought months ago. Bumper is sturdy, nice matte-crinkle finish, & perfect fit! I then added the matching Deegan skid plate. Also perfect fit!

@AllMoparParts.com ?
There have been a couple posts on this. I can't find them, but at least one refers to it as the "Other Bumper from Mopar" or something to that extent.

Westin WJ2 full width front winch bumper

It looks like, through search, a few folks here have experience with this bumper. Looking for more details on it. Like how much it weighs, how 'winch capable' it is, how well the attachment to the Jeep is, if you can re-use the factory front skid plate or what other one is needed, if it works with factory LED fog lamps, etc....

It looks like it just uses the factory bumper's 8 bolts - whereas others like Warn have an additional bracket to use. So I'm curious how well it holds up for heavy winch pulls.

Here is a link to the product in question - it is available from several vendors.

Installed the AEV with EX corners. The installation is not for impatient people. It looks great, is built really solid but it is a real PIA.

I bought an Ebay Rubicon knock off steel bumper just over a year ago. Installation wasn't too bad, looked pretty much stock, hit some trees with it off roading and it seemed to hold up pretty well. About 2 months ago started to see some rust spots. Now 2 months later there is rust coming through everywhere. Just finished pulling it off to bring to the sand blaster/power coater tomorrow. Probably looking at another $300 to get that done. Will be into it for about $700 ($400 original purchase and 300 for powder coat)
Just an FYI if anyone else is thinking of going this way to save some money. You aren't going to save as much as you think.

I paid $150 for powder coating on the bumper and $40 for the tow hooks. Shop around, I went to a metal refinishing shop instead of an automotive shop and saved over a hundred dollars.

Looks good. Where did you mount your control box?

Stock Rubicon steel bumper with wings removed and a Warn Zeon 10S winch.

The special bits though are Frog Fabs Shackle mounts installed on frame rail ends. Had to remove the crush cans and modify the plastic fascia.
