Just junk. That truck will be in the scrap yard and my jeep will still be running strong. Don't believe me? How many of those Ford Lightnings from the late 80's early 90's have you seen lately? I see Jeeps from the same time frame regularly.
The Lightning didn't come around until the 90s.

I live in the Piedmont section of NC. and can't leave the house without seeing CJ's, YJ's, and lots of TJ's.
Living in the southwest (minimal rust issues) I see a ton of older Jeep’s. Hell I saw a “work truck” CJ with a ladder rack and ladders on top the other day! Still plenty of older Jeep’s on the road but I think this is largely to do with the simplicity of these vehicles.
