Mine made it almost a year and then went free (shipping was covered) to Florida for a fellow member who wanted one. I don’t miss it and the whole cover everything up in the engine compartment is lost on me.

At some point I need to pull mine and all that urethane jammed around the engine - but apparently that's standard practice for diesel owners and with the diesel going away, I doubt anyone will want the cover.

I had a bolt on cover on my 2003 Jetta. I got tired of having to unbolt it for maintenance. I modified it to a quick release like the newer Jettas had. It is now modified again as a ornament on the shop wall. It is much better to open the hood and get a quick peek than to hope all is good underneath the 20 year old car. In time, I'm sure I'll loose the cover for the JT engine.
