Hmmm. Full size trucks and full sized engines just make me feel better. Pushing to the limit to get horsepower just doesn't seem like a good plan. I know engine technology is getting really good, but I think they plan for emissions and fuel economy than longevity.

I may post mine locally and see if anyone bites on a straight sale to individual.
The damned thing is better than new and has 25,000 miles on it.
The 3/36 runs out in the Fall, but the 7/100 CPO warranty is transferable.

I was surprised with the $1240 off of MSRP, with all the ads and reports of other buyers here. Sounds like a loaded Chevy list is $48,000 compared to a loaded Mojave at perhaps $20,000 more.
Perhaps my friend you can try again to be good looking and lucky, you know all these colors are not you….go something like Hydro Blue, yup what ever you get…… get blue and we’ll let you in the good looking , and lucky gang! Ha!
Really a lot of people don’t get it that it’s just a truck and lots of people either lease for a few years or others just get something new every few years. I’ve had Jeeps and a lot of full size Chevys, usually have them 8-9 years or until I get the itch or feel something big is starting to go. Have fun on your quest!……Jack

Still casually shopping. A local Ford dealer had a Ranger Raptor on the lot today, so I tried it out.
It's not in a color I like, but the color was secondary to me getting a feel for the truck.

Super tight and sound feeling truck.
Tons of power and torque. 100 more HP than the GM/Chevy, but about the same torque.
A freaking mess under the hood. Damn!

Ride was a little stiffer than the AT4 and actually pretty close to the Mojave on back roads, but of course the tracking and drivability were better.

I like the interior, except for the seats, which felt kinda cheap to me.
I do like that it has a physical light switch, as opposed to the GM's.

Still haven't sat in a Nissan, and honestly, with it's lower tech and lower price tag, it's becoming more of a priority to do so.

Still no hurry to sell or trade and jump to something else. The Jeep still drives and runs great, and it's paid for.

I may wait to see what the 25's bring.

I have and it seemed a little tighter in the shoulder and seat area. If you are looking at their PRO-4X model, I would make a strong case to look at the 1 year old very low mileage used market for them. Their values drop like a brick used and you can pick them up for a better value IMHO.

You bored of the Mojave already? I like the looks of the GMC/Chevy and the power sounds nice. I had a GMC Sonoma a long time ago and it was a solid truck that was super comfortable on and off road. IT did however break down from some simple stupid stuff. Think I'd veer to the Ford myself.........maybe.

I honestly have shopped for full size trucks, I'm Mopar person and thought about getting a Hemi before they're gone. I just can't stomach the loss on trade in at the moment, giving up my 2% interest rate and the sweat, tears and blood followed by curse words I've got into the like $15,000 I've spent on mods. I think I'll keep her until the EGR blows. Not to mention MSRP's have gone up like 30-40% on all vehicles lately it seems.

The only "affordable" mid size is the Pro4X Frontier which I am a fan of.. but it is not as good off road and not as feature packed as the others.

Did y'all know they have axle view cameras now?

I just finished a week of detailing the Canyon. Going over it the way I do I get to see everything.
I have to admit, the Gladiator's exterior finishes, at least on the one I had, were done better.
The GMC paint has trash in it, especially on the roof.
Maybe they were painting these things outdoors down in Mississippi, but it's clearly not what it should be.
The body work, seals, fit, etc. are good.
They just don't know how to paint and clear.

Take good care of that interior too. I think gm interiors only have about a 5 year shelf life.

First off, the Canyon is one of the best looking on the road- that's a nice looking truck.

Secondly, that's not just a GMC thing. GM paint has been legendarily awful. Every GM vehicle I've ever had came from the factory with swirl marks.
