I'm trying to get a spot in the Jeep Jamboree at Coal Mountains. I was looking at the ones in Catskills and Maine as well. I'm in the DMV area, so not too far from where you are or those places. Well, Maine ... would be a drive (google says 9 hours, but I could have it down to 7 easily) and just realized they require 2 people per Jeep - that's a big NOPE for me. Unless I can convince them otherwise.

My sarcasm gets the better of me at times. When people talk about winches. Sometimes someone will misspell winch as wench. I was waiting for it, and no one did.

They’ve started really pushing the two person thing. It’s all about cash for them. I did a couple jamborees, but I’m done with them. They’re price gougers. They are profiting like 500 percent.

That makes me want to go to one for the hell of it and see if they turn me away for going by myself. They'd already have my money. LOL

I did a few jamborees too. All in Maine and Vermont. I don’t really understand the two people per jeep thing. All the jeeps are grouped together so you’re never on your own. It does sound like more of a money grab. Anyway, I found that there are lots of great people and cool trails, but it’s just too expensive. Add room and board and it gets crazy. I stopped going a couple years ago and just look for Jeep invasion type events. They usually include some kind of Jeep show and lots of vendors.

the best I ever did was 2 free pairs of boots. I ordered one, they triple charged me at shipping (3 separate charges), so I called them. They said it was an IT issue with apple pay and they weren’t sure how to fix it. I said I would dispute the 2 charges for overpayment and the lady said that is fine.

2 pairs of boots arrived so I called and they said not to worry about sending the second one back. A week or so later the retailer reversed the remaining charge I didn’t dispute.
