This was the 1st trail we did in Moab this Spring, was not a fan of the 1st section. Once you get past the devil's crack it is not bad, z-turn is tough for the longer wheel base Gladiator.

Coming back down I was just a little off in my line and almost had a really bad day. You can't see it in the video but the driver's rear was about a foot off the ground as well.

Some trail ratings are hard to judge, IMO. Also depends on what you skip.

I haven't ran the particular trail in the video, but I did other stuff in Moab.

I thought Metal Masher (rated a 7 in most books) was a cake walk in my 2 door JK on 33s, but I simply bypassed all the gnarly obstacles, lol.

Top of the World was rated lower, but I found it to be more problematic.

The crack and z-turn are the only really difficult obstacles on Moab Rim. But for the 1st and last section there is plenty of exposure to a nice cliff. My very wide Jeep felt very close to the edge in some parts.

Welcome to Utah and Moab!
(Please bring a high limit credit card. Off road recovery is not cheap.)

Awesome! About 25 years ago (when I was in my 20’s), I flew out from PA to ride shotgun with a Toyota (TTORA) group (back when Lions Back was still open). šŸ˜Ž
Rode shotgun on the easier trails, but the scenery is absolutely stunning.
Watched folks do some of the hard shit….. and loved every minute of it.

One of these days I’d love to go back with my husband….maybe rent a Jeep.
My husbands never been….. so, it’s something you gotta see!!

But what about those YouTube channels who are always looking for more footage? 😁

I did Top of the World a few yrs back. Very few people talk about that first incline at the beginning of the trail.

I thought going up was hard. Coming down felt like I was going to flip!

Yea that's how we felt. Going up had some spots - but it was fine.

Going down loop had way more challenges.

I’d love to get out to Moab!! Might have the opportunity it next summer to get out that way after the kids are out of school. We shall see.

Do any forum members live out that way?

I loved Moab rim. I can’t wait to do it again. I think a 7 is quite fair. If compared to poison spider as a 6, I might even lower it. I don’t think it’s harder.
