I hate the way my stock Overland wanders on the hwy. I just ordered the Fox IFP 985-24-173 referenced above. Its fine around town so I don't think its my steering box. I really hope it helps. If this doesn't help, I'll get that synergy brace.

I also hope it doesn't make the steering crazy stiff on a stock Jeep. I don't have the money for bigger tires right now. A little stiffer would actually be good...
!
Hope it works out for you. The ATS some how really screwed up my steering and made everything worse. The ATS didn’t even feel firm at the highest setting. Everything was perfect w the IFP for me !

Thanks, I as probably going to get the IFP anyway, but your feedback confirmed my purchase. Plus, its cheaper. Annoying to have to spend $150 on this on a brand new vehicle, but if it fixes the issue and maybe even firms up the steering feel a little bit then its worth it. You notice any difference in the steering feel other than addressing the wandering?

New stabilizer arrived today, straight forward install. Took about 15 minutes total. Shimmy is gone, wobble gone. The stock stabilzer was shot. Thanks for the link and tips @danielspivey and everyone else who provided advise and knowledge throughout this thread. I’ll wait on the relocation kit for now, at least until I upgrade more steering components.

just re-reading your comment and was curious how many miles you had on your JT when you noticed it was shot?
Thanks.

Took out the slight wander I had, and made the steering feel firmer. Not firm, but to the point it is noticeably firmer in a good way, if that makes sense.

Saw some bad reviews on amazon on this stabilizer that said this made things way worse.

I guess my experience is different than most... I have the TS Fox and it’s been a good upgrade... that’s my opinion. But every Jeep and situation is different.
Enjoy the upgrade! Every little bit helps

Ok good, that's the TS, not the IFP.
Any way to tell which I have? Its def Fox, but I let the shop do it via the dealership. I can't say I'm thrilled with the results. My guess is they went with what was cheapest.

fyi, I have a Gladiator Rubicon manual transmission with the stock Falken Mud Terrain tires and stock Rubicon suspension and steering. I do not have the steering problem. I ran a test on the fwy at 80 mph. If I move the steering wheel 1/2 inch, the gladiator will start to move out of the lane, so, my overall steering wheel play is very small.

I would like to put the fox stabilizer now on my current stock rubicon, but also plan to put a 3 inch lift in the future. Which fox stabilizer model should I get?
