Hey guys, I just came across these from Rugged Ridge. Has anyone tried them? They're a little pricy at $209 each but I'm really liking them. Here's a YouTube video, not a Gladiator but you get the idea

These aren't the best pictures but the Husky over the rails tool box from Home Depot worked for a couple members. It is slightly off center because of the fuel tank fill tube but hardly noticeably. I liked this one better than other brands because of the more straight down sides. The Craftsman has sharply angled sides that reduces the store a bit.

Where'd you find that 42" Better Built tool chest?
Haven’t been on forum for awhile so I apologize for the delay in responding. Found on local craiglist ad

I may have to give this one a shot. Looking for a spot for some recovery gear and lesser used items. Thanks!

Edit:
Do you have any pictures with it opened? I can’t tell from the pictures, but are there any fastening points?

Here are some more pictures of the Tractor Supply poly box. The box just fits under the Mopar soft roll up tonneau cover. There are no tie /fastening points built into the box, but you could mount some. I’ve used a cargo bar, ratchet strap and cable lock cable to secure mine. As you should also see, I store my front “plywood” support between the box and the bed front. Hope these help.

here is a link to my previous post.

The Rubbermaid Action Packer 24-gallon box with lid fits perfectly under the factory tonneau. I have 4 of them I use when we go on our off roading/camping (aka "overlanding") trips...

I'm now considering using the Milwauke
Thanks for this write up. I have all of my tools in DeWalt Tough System or TStaks. I was contemplating the Tractor Supply box, but with a hard tonneau it doesn't make that much sense in that when the cover is down everything under it should be secure, so I don't have the need for a locking trunk.

I am going to pickup another tough system case and mount it to my bedrail system (under the tonneau) so that I can slide stuff under it. I will use it for my ratchet straps, onboard tools, gloves, etc. I can also reposition it along any of the rails. I think this is a much better option than that swing out box that sits between the tailgate and the wheel well.

I just hope all of these tools, along with my miter saw and stand will fit in the truck.

I use access cover lorado tonneau cover, low profile roll up type, wanted a lockable chest/tub that fit underneath that i could cable lock to the bed hooks to keep walk off thieves at bay. I want to be able to remove it when needed. I found this bad boy at lowes and sitting on a rubber bed mat it just clears under the tonneau cover. Perfect fit really. I use a combo padlock on chest itself and a 6' cable loop one end there, then i can run the cable through maxtrax and shovel handle then another combo padlock to the corner bed tie down, so no one walks off with my stuff without bolt cutters/tools etc. Anyway that's my solution, love it, got all my hitch, tie downs, jumpers, recovery gear, tools, survival stuff, some hunting stuff etc. Chest weighs about 17 lbs from recollection, i've got it a little over 60 lbs full of my gear, couple maxtrax at 8 lbs ea and little shovel, call it solid 80 lbs additional. Easy to grab the handle and skid it out when i need full box to haul couch to dump etc. https://www.craftsman.com/products/29-in-24-gal-wheeled-lockable-tool-box

I mounted one of the swing cases.(on the passenger side)
Fits great, holds a lot more things then I expected. Easy install and easy to remove and carry with you or to hear out the space.
I recommend it for holding tools, basic gear, recovery straps etc.

Has anyone tried to see if an older Tacoma over-the-rail low profile Toolbox fits?

I was/am considering this one, can you upload some pics, preferably side shots, I am wondering how much of the bed it takes up. Thanks.

I went to Lowe’s today to look at the Craftsman toolbox a couple of others mentioned and use. I purchased the more narrow one, just wish it had come in black. $179
Looks great even in silver. Bet you could Rhino Line that thing.
