Plus, you can move it from vehicle to vehicle.
That is another benefit. I have picked up a Dodge Cummins to handle the towing duties and the Echo works great with it as well.

Dang you people for giving me reasons to spend more money! We bought a Tekonsha P3 which has worked well enough, other than being mounted right down over my dead pedal knee.

Which can be interesting if / when I need to manually enable the trailer brakes (so far, once) because I have to lean down, reach down, and find the lever while keeping my leg out of the way, watching the road, and driving with one hand.

So now I'm looking at getting the Redarc and mounting it next to the 12v outlet...
Love the Redarc - if i ever trade trucks again it would be tempting to leave the MOPAR controller in this truck and put the Redarc I used to use in the new one.
The control knob can be mounted almost anywhere and the control box itself tucks up under the steering column area very easily. Piece of cake to install.

One vehicle I don't care about moving a controller from vehicle to vehicle. Love the simplicity of just plugging in the trailer into the 7 pin connector, nothing else there, and moving along.

Exactly. And you can store multiple profiles of vehicle/trailer combos, so you don’t need to adjust settings. Win win.
