Now if you'd offered up that Jeep, I'd of been there in no time to help swap parts from your old Gladdy to the new one.
I have to check - I think I have one in the house, so this could be an extra for me.
I try to get creative when people can help - parts (such as Rubicon springs, shocks, knockoff steel front bumper, other stuff I have, or repairs I can do, cash, whatever.

Other fun antique tools I have (I could fill a whole page of posts with the 70 to 100 year old tools and such)
This is the remains of a distributor machine from the old AMC plant in Kenosha - it had provisions for testing the Prestolite electronic ignition.

I wish you were in GA. My dad’s old garage attic is stuffed full of antique tools and testers and old car parts from the 20s forward. I’m surprised that the attic hasn’t collapsed. I could use some help figuring out what some of it is. Hah

How many here never had the privilege of using one one these?
And how many has. I work at a Gulf gas station as a second job in 80-81 and have used and owned many, many of them.

For many years I had one in my toolbox, the last cans I remember that you needed one for was motor flush crap that really shouldn't be used.
I've still got an pump oil can not a vintage one but do and use it. ATF fluid in it.

Back O.T. I get the best deal fluids that meet OEM specs. On modern automatic transmissions it's not a place to screw around with "Bob's super snake oils" in several recent models the transmission replacement is starts over $12000.00 in a common budget car. Not a 4x4 or sports car even. My T-case will have a standard ATF that meets OEM specifications, at this hour I'm not going to go look at the gallon bottle in my shed to see it. Fortunately the T-case isn't as particularly special for fluid. What is getting "fun" is finding Dext 2/3 for older vehicles now. AKA AW-4 and 231 T-case fluid and not a over $$$ bottles. Tractor Supply did carry it in 5 gallon buckets... about what quantity I need for 2 XJ, 1 MJ and Wrangler T-case. Damn I'm back at thinking of ordering it by the drum again. I popped on here after getting home from a buddies house, one of them 23:30 calls to assist in bleeding brakes so the truck will be ready in morning. He had to replace brake calipers, then banjo bolt/ crush washer wouldn't stop leaking. 0130 got it done drove home. Now reading here some have a shot of corn and call it a "morning" :giggle: This somewhat retired is something.

My uncle had 50 gallon drums of oil on his farm in Maryville, Tn. I can still remember riding on the tailgate of his truck though the fields...

While I'm not as old as some, 51, I've used all 3 of those. But then again, I started helping my dad do tune ups on our 69 CJ5 with the Dauntles 225 v6 when I was 6.
I don't have any of those anymore, too many moves. But I do have some pretty old hand tools. Including a hand crank drill.
Oh those will test your patients for sure!
