@ShadowsPapa am I still the most unlucky guy here? This thread makes me sad… but,… hang on guys, you just need to stay the course and get things fixed/replaced, over and over until you get a rock solid replacement or repair done and then maintain the crap out of it!

After 2 engines, 4 transmissions and 4 power steering pump the sun shines once again,…there’s hope in Mordor guys, keep the faith.

I am with you on this. How bad could a Bronco be?? The list of issues on my JT is getting longer than my desire to keep it.
No air conditioning in the back seat on broncos. Just saying. They are crap.

Been thinking about a possible “cause” to transmission issues I have not read mentioned yet but made me think about for a while and I even went so far to assume my 4th transmission might even benefit from a simple procedure (though it gave no indication it needed it) and that is if we are upsizing our tire sizes, I think a transmission “quick relearn” is necessary.

I’m going to assume many of us have gone bigger than factory and maybe only slightly (34-35”) up to…bigger and all we’ve done, mostly, is just have a tire size calibration done.

I’ve increased my tire size twice (315/70/17, now) and both times I had the recalibration done. I asked my shop Forman if the recal changes transmission shift points or behaviours at all and he said as far as he knew, it only changed the odometer.

I got me a MUCAR CDE900 Pro diagnostic reader and paid for the FCA security gateway full unlock license and one of the features with the license is to be able to do a “quick relearn” on the transmission and ECM etc, so I did and I can tell you that just having the tire size recalibration done at the dealership, did nothing to change transmission shifting and behaviours. After running the quick relearn and recalibration on the ECM it preformed much better. …so for what it’s worth… it made mine respond better.

I know it doesn't "help" - but you are one of the outliers as far as stacks of problems.
Most, and it's a big majority, don't have problems aside from maybe an annoyance or something simple.
In all of the Jeeps we've owned, none ever had more than one issue, and in each case, the issue was minor and easily resolved by the dealer in one visit other than the transmission leak in the 4xe - that was a Jeep thing........... they didn't want to admit there was a big problem with many dozens of them.
Ironically, it was the ZF built in Germany transmission that was the issue.

I'll have to look at the details again, but the JSCAN people say "don't do the quick relearn" - there's another setting that forces a full reset and start over that does more.
i wonder if I saved a link to their discussion.........

In what world is this ok?! My previous vehicle is a 2012 Nissan Xterra Pro 4X. It's NEVER been to the dealership. I still have it and I trust it more than my 2024 Gladiator. I don't see myself keeping this thing any longer than 3 years or 36,000 miles 🫤

It might be time for me to get Jscan. That’s a lot of features.

Where was the tranny leaking from? I have potentially a slow seep from the rear or mine. But it could have been the pan gasket. Time will tell as I’ve cleaned it up to see if it returns. New pan and gasket as well. Way out of warranty, but still curious as I’ll end up fixing it myself at some point. Thanks.
