While driving today, all of the USB ports and the 12v plug lost power. Tried replacing the fuse, which looked fine, and still nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? Had two phones charging, and a map up on CarPlay for one of them when they went out.

The USB Media Ports and the 12Vdc outlets are on two seperate fused circuits. They do have a common tie in at the Power Distribution Center Assembly (Fuse Box). That PDC though is more than just a wired fuse box and has integrated electronic circuitry to it.

There is no magic bullet other than having a schematic and checking powers and grounds. If under the 3/36K warranty, I would let the dealer deal with it.

After they fixed it, what did they say was the problem and solution?

I am having a similar issue with USB 1 and USB 2 not working as well. Radio was about 3 weeks ago. Just now noticed that they aren't working. No charging and no Car play or Android Auto. Tried several different phones, cords etc. Projection Manager, repairing, soft reboot. Still not nothing. Hoping to not have to go back to the dealer again for this radio! Fuses 11, 51, 97 all seated and good.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Mine dropped out while driving (amazing how fast you can get used to that CarPlay nav). I pulled the fuse (I want to say F11 but don't recall for sure) for 20 or 30 seconds.

Electronics have capacitors, can't just pop the fuse out and back in, need to let it sit disconnected for a bit to make sure you get a full reset.

My Jeep just started doing this the other day.

No charging power to either dash USB or the center console, and no Android Auto connection. I tried 4 cables (including buying a brand new one) and still nothing. I tried deleting my phone from the system and re-pairing it, which it did via Bluetooth, but not when plugged in. I tried two different phones with each of the four cables and still nothing.

I've also let the car sit overnight without being driven and tried again, still nothing. The lights around the USBs work, but the plugs are dead.

Did anyone actually figure out what caused this?

Thanks, I searched in and out of the forum but didn't see stuff that deep apparently.

EDIT: Hmm, the link doesn't seem to work.

The radio does get power from the PDC. However, certain functions of the radio are fused in the BCM. Apple carplay, USB power are also powered through the BCM. Any chance you could have someone pull the codes on the BCM? Is this part of load shedding is what I am wondering? Anything else not working?

Battery Below 12.2v will start load shedding. I can't tell what is being load shed at this point but a " battery Saver on " message would be displayed on the IPC. You might want to scroll through the screens there to look for that message.

11.8v is the critical stage and at 10 9v heated seats and steering wheel are shed along with hvac controls and only emergency audio is allowed.

It has been cold, but the truck has a one-year old main battery and a couple months old Aux Odyssey battery, so I don't think it's an issue with available current.

I went and pulled the fuses on my lunch and they look good, but I will check them for continuity tomorrow on my day off. The annoying thing is that after checking the fuses the radio has no audio. It still powers up and seems fully functional, but there's no sound.

I'm going to spend some time with the shop manual tomorrow, but this is starting to feel like a failing computer.

During a critical loadshed, only emergency audio will work. But you should have a message too. Power for the radio is from the pcm, but also the bcm. I would look for codes. Do you have an inverter (115vac)? That would not work if it is loadshedding. Hvac controls would be limited as well. I just don't know what shuts down first During the power saver on mode. The book only tells what shuts down during the critical state mode.
