Hitches are a pet peeve of mine. More than once I've pulled them out and set them in the people's beds.
Yeah, that can go a few different ways touching peoples property without their permission.

I'm on your eastern border, I've seen it. And the full sized trucks will stop half way into the space because they don't know where their bumper is, leaving their back end (and never used behemoth trailer hitch) hanging in the aisle. One day in my single cab Dakota I had one on each side and one right behind me. I had to do a thirty point turn to get out!

Tow mirrors stick out more than any hitch I've ever seen, you think you have the right to go around folding those in too? Why does anyone need to walk within 6" of my bumper? If you have a habit of running in to parked vehicles that's a you problem. You think a hitch to the shin hurts, wait until the wrong person catches you attempting to steal there hitch (that's the only logical reason a person would be touching someone else's property).

Getting rear ended by a punk who didn't realize that some folks stop at stop signs. Seeing their AC condenser honeycomb residue, and antifreeze on my hitch. and watching the trail of fluids as they ran, made me happy I had left my hitch on. Not worth a chase, as he would be visiting a repair shop in short order. That AC oil made my hitch look like gnu! Betterererist his precious bodily fluids than my bumperere.

Why does anyone need to walk within 6" of my bumper?
Because they've backed into a parking spot, over the sidewalk, where there is a fence preventing you from going around, in a state where it's illegal to drive around with them in if they stick out more than four inches.
Any other questions?

And if they feel froggy enough to confront me, I'll deal with that.

Yes, I have folded them in too when they prevent me from opening my door.

I've slapped a lot of tow mirrors out of the way. Don't park like a dummy, don't drive like a dummy, and your stuff won't get adjusted by strangers.

The problem with that is they can be perfectly parked, centered between the lines, but the truck is big and the parking spots smaller than they were years ago.

I've had to be careful with door contact with SUVs and trucks when we were both perfectly centered in the spaces.

Nice if you can but there are times where there's pretty much nothing left but a few individual spaces. It's not always possible.
I should take pictures - it seems that in other states, parking lots are seldom almost full and there are plenty of open spots around.

Where it is - I park far enough that I won't come out and find someone parked on each side. I've had that happen - park 20 spots away and come back to find all of those spots open - and vehicles next to mine. They must be attracted to each other or something!

If they want to try to squeeze their one ton into tiny spots that's their problem. Parking spots are smaller now, but you also don't need to drive a dually to go shopping or out to eat. Big trucks used to only be for working, not a lifestyle statement.

Same Same

Where I live, if not locked, it's yanked and traded for something on the next street corner.

An Olde Timer taught me moons ago, a lock keeps an honest Man honest.

CARP!

I'm olde, is "Olde" even spelled with an "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" anymore?
