More wild/bright colors (Gecko green, Bright Orange, Chief Blue, Bikini Pearl). Black, Gray/Silver, and White are utterly boring.

Ability to engage rear locker in 2WD or 4Hi
More accessory switches - 6 minimum

Heated seats & steering wheel that don't reset to off when vehicle is turned off, so you can remote start and have warm seats & steering wheel when you get in.

ESS button that remembers last setting when ignition is turned off.

Option for 4.88 gears & 35" tires for at least the Rubicon.

Stop pricing Jeeps so high that you lose your core buyers who want a vehicle designed and priced for spartan living off road. 70K is getting up into the H2 range.

Lose or relocate the ESS battery. If my F250 works fine with one battery,why can't my Jeep. Also Gator paint, I thought of trading my 2020 but I like my gator.

Answer I agree with in the same thread, just two posts down, from Cafecito:

"Well look at the JL soft tops. After you remove the rear corners and window, you can fold the top back once and leave the rear of the roof up so it's in that "bikini" style. You then also have the option to press/pull something to retract the roof all the way back down.

That. That is what would be better.

If you want to throw the top back into man bun - cool. Do that. But if you don't have a big rack in the back or anything in the bed that would interfere with the top being all the way behind the rear seats, give us that option too.

I'm not an engineer, but I understand that not every Gladiator driver has to have their bed stacked full of badass molle racks and roto packs at all times, and having a top that is limited in use simply to accommodate for that is just dumb. "

I think a lot of people are forgetting that all car manufacturers are bound by the idiotic laws imposed by our idiot politicians.

MPG requirements are likely dictating that ESS is here to stay. Same thing probably explains why there's no V8 option; just like every other midsize truck is stuck with a V6 or turbo I4. That probably also accounts for the lack of giant axles, 35/37's from the factory, etc...

The best we can hope for is that Jeep provides us the solid base for us to build and customize in the aftermarket, which I think they've done a great job of.


Things like ventilated seats, non-ridiculous key fobs, etc are all good ideas and actually possible.

I understand a lot comes down to Cafe standards and other government regulations but some of this has to be doable and some is needed.

Gladiator Customer Experience:

• If the Wrangler gets an option it should work or be made for the Gladiator within reason. We're feeling like an after thought as customers.

Engine:

• Hurricane I-6 (we can dream)

Winch

• Winch plate built into steel OEM bumper or factory installed option.
• Winch wiring connectivity built in closer to front end with a kill switch on dash.
  • Offer a 10,000lb winch from factory or as a part. 8,000lb not enough for a Gladiator per even Warn's recommendations. GVW x 1.5 (source)
  • Kill switch is in case of accident the power is not a constant live connection to battery.

Fenders/Flaps

• Fender flare extensions. Right now Gladiator customers have to buy the Wrangler flare extensions and hack them up to work on the rear.
• Add weather stripping/piping...something...between body and top of fenders. Rocks and gravel collect in those locations causing paint to get chewed up down in there.
• Removable mud flaps front and rear that work with stock Rubicon rock rails AND Jeep Performance Parts HD rock rails. Easily removable because trail rides and rock crawling.

Hard top:

• Dual sliders on rear window that go to the end of glass for large opening. Provide for a more "open air" experience with hard top on.
  • Or go even more extravagant and offer power down rear glass. But this probably adds more cost and weight.
• Headliner panels should be standard.

Electronics:

• Electronic Stop/Start position memory. If I turn off ESS it should remember that it was turned off the next time I get into the Gladiator and start. (Is this a federal requirement not to do this?)
• An option for a wiring run to the bed from factory for auxiliary batteries / DC management systems for the camper/overlander.
• Inverter: An option for a higher rated inverter instead of modified. Some devices will not work on modified sinewave.
• Inverter: One that uses pure sinewave.
• Auxiliary switches increased to 6-8. (make it part of the infotainment screen if you can't fit the physical buttons)
• Managing tire size and differential ratio should be a standard option in the infotainment screen. Should not need to buy an aftermarket product to do this or go to a dealership to wait weeks for an appointment and pay for a one time change. I think plenty of customers change tire sizes at the minimum to make this worth it. Less probably change differential gearing but you're asking an enthusiast forum so, yes, it happens quite often with enthusiasts.
• Put the ESS/auxiliary battery in a more user-friendly location so changing batteries isn't a major operation or remove it all together and put a larger battery in.
• Auto-up window switches.

Revised bed power panel:

• DC port cigarette lighter type plug in bed next to AC plug for things like electric coolers. It's more efficient than converting to AC via inverter and simpler for everyday users.
• USB-A and USB-C ports in bed in the same panel as the AC plug.
• This is happening so much via DIY/aftermarket it's definitely wanted/in demand.

Lockers

• Front locker should be able to be used independently of the rear locker.
• Rear locker in 4H. There seems to be an undocumented way to make this work by enabling Off-road+, disabling traction control and pressing ESC button for an amount of time but it's not in the user manual (at least for the 2020). Just lock it out for low speeds only.
• Rear locker in 2WD is useful in some situations. Just lock it out for low speeds only.

Paint:

• Door hinge protection from the factory. Rock chips are inevitable without protective covering for paint. Much like you already do for the front of the rear fenders.

Lighting:

• It's 2024. Let's stop pretending LED lighting is an option when it's the standard. Stop selling halogen lighting, it's terrible.
• Fog lights should have an amber option.
• A lot of forum members in snowy areas wish there was a heating element in the LED headlights to keep ice/snow cleaned out.

Hood:

• Locking hood should be a standard item (still allow for front trail camera)
  • Customers add things under the hood like air compressors, electronic relays for switching (see "add more aux buttons" above in Electronics section), dual battery setups and would like to protect these items as best they can.

Steering

• Beef up the steering box. Aftermarket solutions are required to eliminate flexing/slop in steering even after steel replacement. Larger tires are added a lot.
• Adjustable track bar from the factory. Lifts happen a lot on Jeeps and this always needs to be replaced. More junk in the landfill or recycling. Wasted energy and materials.

Wheels

• Make your wheels 8.5" wide from factory. So many Jeep wheels end up in the dump because they're 7.5" wide and can't handle a larger tire safely.

Interior

• ACC/sensor box on windshield is massive. For me as a tall-ish person 6'0" and with most of that height on the torso side I have a huge blind spot off to the passenger front side.
  • example: onramp traffic can be blocked by that box as they come down the on ramp until they are much closer.
  • example: Driving through twisty mountain roads, tighter turns to the right are basically made blind unless I lean way over to the passenger side to see around box/mirror or slouch very low in my seat to see under it and the rearview mirror.
• Rearview mirror needs to be higher up. Blocks view the same as the ACC box does.

While I like the Gator, I am still stuck on the Hunter green color that I had on my 1994 Sahara. That green with a tan top was sharp!

Also the 5.7 V8 would make me trade in my 2020.

Eliminate the dual battery! It’s the worst engineered system on the Jeep. So tiered of hearing how it’s just bad batteries. Few people use it, can’t imagine anyone asked for it, nobody would miss it!
I have pledged to never buy a new jeep again. Build this with gas powered 300+ hp and I would take that back in a heartbeat!

@JeepCares I would LOVE a 2 Lo option. Yes, rear wheel drive only, in low range. I have a modification from Teraflex on my 06 TJ that allows use of low range but only in 2wd of the rear axle, and let me tell you, in my part of the country I use this AAAALLLLLLLLLLL the time. If it was available on the JT, it would be a night and day difference, and a deal-MAKER on my willingness to trade in even. For doing countless switch backs on a forest service road, which in reality is the 90% of what people drive on that is not pavement, this would be WAY cool. Much less stress on the engine, trans, and other components. More controlled with a slower speed. Less gas used by not needing to use 1/2 of the throttle to go up a steep turn that really doesn't need 4wheel drive but does need to be done slowly. Especially if the rear locker was available at the same time. I think this is a feature that nobody really thinks about but if it was available everyone would use it very frequently. It would also reduce unnecessary wheel spin on sharp uphill corners, thus reducing damage to the dirt road, and thus reducing ammo that governing agencies can use for shutting down more roads due to 'erosion'.

I waited three years for that model and finally gave up.

ESS off button w. memory and a way to cancel the three horn honk when I get out of the truck and shut the door with the engine running and the fob in my pocket.

HVAC controls that aren't integrated w. the touch screen/radio.
I liked the three knob control in the JK.
