Retired. Beach bum.
I’ve had two issues covered under warranty at the 5 Star Dealership I purchased our 2024 Gladiator Sport S. At 14,780 miles we experienced the dreaded death wobble. We were already on a trip and the DW repeated once more on the way home. I looked underneath and sure enough the steering damper had a leak. Made an appointment for repair, brought it in, was given a similar loaner, then returned after the weekend to pickup ours. The dealer replaced the SD re-aligned the front end and the Jeep drives better than new. Then at the beginning of this month, June 6th exactly we went to do an errand and the Jeep was totally dead. That was a Saturday so we were out of luck till Monday. I called my dealer at 9am, the service manager asked if I could jump start and make it down there and thanks what we did. We arrived at 11:30 and were all set with two new batteries by 1:20pm! Unbelievable service at this dealership, Thunder JDCR. In Bartow,FL. With a shoutout to Bob at the service desk and the folks !!!!

My overlands shocks were bad at 20k miles, stock overland shocks no lift, bought used with no signs of ever being offroad, no scratches under it still looked new. Also its stocker showed gorilla glass which no longer had, but cant say im surprised by that one. Guess since over half the jeeps out there seem to get a lift right away maybe jeep thinks weak shocks on a trail rated jeep is ok my rancho monotubes have been. Terrific cheap upgrade
my stock Rubicon Fox shock were garbage. Didn't last half as long as yours and i had it at the dealer a half dozen times and they could figure it out. I had to test drive the Jeep with the master technician and he heard it teh first bump i hit and said thats a bad shock.

Oh no 😢

123k is still a pretty solid run, but definitely tough news to get.

Finding a remanufactured engine with a 4-year warranty sounds like a pretty decent outcome all things considered. Hopefully it gives you a fresh start and a lot more miles out of it.
Oh how far we have fallen if 123K is considered 'solid'.

But, that's the garbage modern automakers are trying to get us accustomed to.

Mine just started giving off random “service airbag system” warnings.
Only have 48,000 miles. So I can safely say that I didn’t expect the airbag system to be wore out already.
Never had any other vehicle have airbags issues ever.
And of course the dealerships in my area are booked out forever…
I already checked all airbag connections that I could access. Checked all common issues for this that I found in searches.
Really getting old dealing with this thing.

Steering stabilizer. I’ve blown it within the year of owning it. Did the same thing for my Wrangler more or less. Although I think it almost made it two years I guess it is time to look it up grading.

Mine is because I wheel and bashed the stabilizers. It's practically a wear item on a stock suspension if you're wheeling.

The forum is also self-selecting. People with little or no issues won't post as frequently, or have issues to talk about.

Forums in the era of social media are largely an anachronism, a hangover from the old BBS days and dial up internet. They always have tended to be a mix of enthusiasts and folks with an issue they don't understand and are looking for assistance. Think of threads with titles like "Which oil, antifreeze, lift, tires, wheels, topper, RTT, etc should I get?"

You're more likely to hear about a known issue on the forum as well as a known solution but that also can make it seem more common than not. Since many of the members here are wheeling their Jeeps aggressively you're more likely to hear about broken stuff than in the color-matched doodad "build" with 20 ducks on the dash Mall-Rated groups that don't go further out than on gravel roads.
