Yes it is basically a tear drop. But they are all composite and are much better off road. It has a kitchen area, fridge, hot water, water tank, shower, ac and heat, queen sized bed, plus storage. For my purposes, something this size is much better as it’s easier to tow and I can take it more places.

I don’t care to camp in crowded campgrounds with hookups. If I wanted the luxuries of a bigger rv with a full living area and galley I’d just rent an airbnb or hotel. It’s hardly camping at that point. But again, to each their own.
Absolutely, if you are charging that much for a trailer you must either have great product or be able to consistently gather people with more money that sense regardless of the talk around the water coolers. I would imagine they make a stout trailer.

Whenever we go on our remote hunts, we take multiple vehicles with a canvas tent and wood stove and all the other things we need to haul to setup a base camp for a few days. For a couple of dudes roughing it in the wood I think we make do.

The reason we want a travel trailer is actually to avoid hotels and airbnb's. I'd like to think that no one will do a better job of keeping my areas cleaner than I do - and even if its filthy, it is my filth. Whatever fully enclosed 17-23ish footer we end up with we'll probably end up using it a few times a year for developed camp grounds to get away for a few days without needing to rough it and another few to explore the country without needing to stay in random hotel, fully enclosed in our own habitat.

yup that makes perfect sense! For me, I’d be a convenience fee. I’d likely get out a lot more if I could have a small trailer ready to go at any time. Just grab some groceries and firewood on the way. Plus there’s virtually no setup and tear down time at camp. But that only works if I can drag the trailer to most of the places I camp.

I don’t have one because I can’t bring myself to spend 30k+ on an off-road trailer. However, I’d love a vorscheer xct or an off grid expedition 2.0. They are both small and light and have everything I need to be very comfortable. If you need more sleeping space and a roof top tent.

I have a great camping setup but the convenience of attaching the trailer and leaving would be great. Also, not having a RTT on my rack and camp gear when I’m wheeling hard trails would be a huge plus.
Build one, govplanet surplus trailer .

I've been looking for a travel trailer for 2 years now. lol. Out of all the choices very few meet the bill of affordability and ruggedness. I have pretty much narrowed it down to three, No Boundaries, Geo Pro or my personal favorite Taxa Outdoors.

Man that Taxa is sweet, but expensive.

So we went RV shopping this weekend, mostly window shopping and honesty didn’t feel the love for all of the units I was excited to lay my eyes on. I think the money for these things for the use it will realistically get really made me rethink the entire idea. We are thinking a used pop-up that could be had for $1500-$8000 depending on how new and much work I’m willing to put into it. I’ll be okay with sleeping off the ground and not needing to fully pitch a tent in the woods.

We priced an Ibex a couple of weeks ago. It was over $30K. Boy.....times have changed. I bought a 35ft Outback 277RL in 2011 for $21K new.

A pop-up won't go where a Jeep trailer can go, without a lot of effort to make it do things it shouldn't. We like our big travel trailer, but we're LOVING our Jeep trailer. My wife found ours on Craigslist. Just looking, they're out there on the West coast now.

We were REAL close to getting the Smittybilt $9K trailer, she found this converted M101 A3 for $5K. The Roam awnings / tent rooms work well, and leaving the trailer behind to do Jeep things is a big positive for us.

No neighbors when camping, at all, is a big positive for ME. Still can't get comfortable in the trailer parks for street RV's.

I picked up a Tiny Camper Company 5 x 8 Kong edition and am having a blast!
Trailer was 1200 lbs dry, I've added another 1000 or so lbs and getting 18 mpg highway.

Years ago. That type of trailer was called a hunting camp trailer. It was marketed towards hunters.

I don’t have an Eco-D but I tow a 21 GeoPro 12RK without issue on or off road with my 3.6L. Ground clearance is never a problem, 1500# and comfy as heck. Been all over the country with it behind my Rubicon. I’m actually moving up to a 15TB for my next US tour so it’s currently available for a new home.
