I have 9ft ceilings. I'd have to look at the door to see if I have any extra room for a larger opening. but IIRC its to the edge of the door already. I have looked at installing an 8ft door with a wall mounted opener.

Honestly if all else fails I'll sell the rebel rack and build my own at the height I need. I'm low key wishing I had just built my own from the start, but I thought the rebel rack was going to be easier.

Edit: They have a decent look side open clamshell tent also thats crazy light and well under 10 inches closed height. Might be worthwhile messaging them about it.

Finished the rear seat delete from American Adventure Lab - great quality overall, tight fit, fun to figure out how to make it work with my Genesis kit back there.

Bought the '04 turbo 5 speed awd Forester off my wife for a dd this winter so been sinking a bunch of time and money into it... it's gonna be sick. I'm so stoked for a spunky daily that I don't care about

Installed RockHard Patriot rails. I know people go up-angled because they don't like the clearance down-angled but really the up-angled clearance is worse than I'd like. I'm from TJ world though, we just bolt flat steel directly to the tub. I think this'll do.

It's come on a couple times, after working on it, dead aux battery and the dash was all Kanji letters, but is not currently on. All of our Subarus had the check engine lights. They were so finicky that anything set them off.
