Installed 6 red rock lights from Nilights. What a PIA to crawl back and forth under the JT .
Hope it was worth it. it looks cool with the red lights though..

Welding lower control arm skids and C gussets right now

PXL_20260302_022041312.webp
Well got both skids on and both upper gussets but I don't know how to flip this axle without an extra set of hands and I'm solo at the moment, so I guess that's it for tonight.

Been getting experience swapping Oil Filter assemblies for a few days. 18000 miles seems a bit early but is what it is. Tried a Dorman first being mine already had the latest MOPAR design. Dorman lasted a day. Ordered another MOPAR which seems to be holding the flood back so far. I wish dealers had a better rep as this was not my idea of fun
Dorman has the earlier design, sad to say.

Moved 392 steering wheel from one JT to the other, installed batteries and replaced a hood switch to get remote start working again.

Forgot to mention I used the Thor’s Lightning Jeep 4 tire air up system today just to try it out and get familiar with it. Thing worked like a champ!!!! Aired down to 20psi and then up to 36psi. The spare was set to 35 by the Walmart people so needed to even things out. Wifey said” You spent how much just to air up tires?” Then she said,”Check mine too. I want them at 37”. :like::CWL:

Seems that the difference between newer and older design to look at is in between the cooler and the OFA which is not where either assembly failed most as mine had the issue between the block and adaptor. All O rings looked fine on both failed units. The last installed seems fine so far judging by dip stick and garage floor. Hope thats the end

Well that looks fun. Are you the one racing it or just the wrench?

Both, this one has been fun. My first cage and engine swap. Lots of custom CNC work. Kept me busy the last year. Car runs and drives though, just trying to get everything clean :)

When this is done, welding up some metal tail lights based off the GR JL lights soon. So I'll "hopefully" have some gladiator success in the next couple months.

My father in law used to tell me that was always the right answer. But I don't ever remember hearing him say it. Well maybe a few times, very sarcastically.

Not much, but got the lower gussets welded up,.cleaned up some of my sloppier beer-induced welds and gave it some rattle can. I've got a new diff cover for it by the way, so don't mind the overspray

How many grinding wheels did you use cleaning up the bubble gum?

Just kidding. How did you weld it? Stick, or mig? And what material did you use?
