Two modifications to my Gladiator today. Last week I had the Mopar Aux Switches installed by a local Jeep dealer. They did a really nice job with the wiring harness, relays, and the fuses. So today -
Modification #1: I installed an onboard ARB compressor onto the firewall on the driver's side of the truck and wired it into Aux Switch #2. I mounted the quick disconnect fitting onto the steel bumper bracket in front of the grill (to the right of my winch). It works great!
Modification #2: I joined the "Damn I have a crack in my windshield" club. I owned two Wranglers and another Gladiator before this Gladiator and never had an issue. This morning - a crack appeared as I was driving down the road. I actually think it was from a previous rock strike causing a ding on the top edge of the windshield that I did not see. But the temperature or pressure or the road I was driving on this morning caused the crack to suddenly grow down the window. :-(

Centered the steering wheel. Crooked since I drove it off the lot. Why have the dealer fix it when it is SO simple on these things? I was amazed. Took 3 minutes and 2 wrenches. ( super anal, used 15mm to break nut then retightened using torque wrench to 34ft/lbs. )

Did not, I ordered online the kit which was made for the rockslide steps/slides but honestly you can use it on others as well.

There are two below attaching the bumper to the hitch tube, I missed it because it's really not clearly identified in the IPB. The plastic bumper doesn't attach there, thus no existing hardware. You need 2xM10 rivnuts + bolts & washers. I'll update with a photo when I install them tomorrow.
Here's a close up and don't forget to use a hex rivnut.

Yes, license plate lights included, plug and play. License plate mounting is freestyle - anything you want, no pre-drilled holes. Probably done to accomodate Euro plates.

Put on some 35s. Kenda klever 35x10.5x17 with quadratec morphic 17x8.5 rims.

Seems to be doing ok with the 3.73 gears so I might hold off on the regear. Need some sliders next.

Installed a tyger soft folding tonneau cover. Got an open box on Amazon for $200, much better than spending $500+ on one.

I put 33” Nitto Grappler M/T’s on my wife’s Wrangler. They looked great new and still look pretty good, but only got around 20k miles out of them and her Jeep really started to handle poorly and wander as the tread wore down. They probably have another 5k miles on the tread, but she complains about the handling and I have to agree, they are not great. I wouldn’t buy Nitto M/T’s again.

I’m giving her my OEM 33” Falken M/T’s with 35k miles and still plenty of tread on them. Then upsizing my Gladiator to Falken AT3W 35”. I really like how the Falken’s handle and look. Hope these will be just as good as the ones on now.

Everything setup to be done within a week depending on the tire shipment being on time. I’ll post when finished.

Upgrade completed and added the Tazer JL Mini too. Very happy with the results and surprised how quiet the 35’s are with the Falken AT3W’s.

The even more noticeable positive difference is giving my wife the old 33’s for her Wrangler. So much better than the Nitto Grappler M/T’s that where on hers. Maybe we just got some bad Nitto’s when they were manufactured? In the end... happy wife, happy life!

And I’m loving these 35 Falken’s.

Started the process to fabricate a winch delete plate for the arcus bumper. Paint coat number 2 is drying currently. Just got called into work though for 4 days of travel so won’t install until Wednesday. I still may add a winch, but I know with 99% certainty it would be a purely cosmetic piece to make the front end look better.
