All the diesels get 3.73 gears no matter trim or tire size, Wrangler or Gladiator. I feel it works well with the 315/70r17 I have now. But I'm afraid it won't be enough if I swap to 37s next time around. I did know what I was getting into with towing and payload. Our enclosed trailer conversion, even when loaded with RZR and everything is well under the Gladiator's capacity.I'd like to have the diesel one but it was released later than mine.
If so I still would want the 4:10 gears in axles at least. Looking back at 2021-22 when I was being hounded to trade in at silly offers I should have. Now at 101200 miles only frustration was the batteries situation when one failed. The diesel would be well under most of my trailer towing but possibly not in capacity for loading in bed some of the times. I definitely tested that hauling bagged concrete and concrete blocks some times.
But it will limit trailer size in the future. Oh well, we'll probably end up with a motorhome at sometime in the future, vs a bigger trailer.
