Took it up the hill to Tru-Value for some seeds and seed marker things. Planted 120 seeds. If I get 30 plants to grow I’ll be happy. :CWL:

Nice!! I started my seeds a couple weeks ago. Tomatoes sprouted faster than I was expecting. Jalapeno’s & peppers are a little slow but everything germinated.

Picked up 10-40 lbs bags of Mushroom compost on Friday. The bags are sitting in the beds waiting for the weather to be warm enough for me to get my ass out there and till it in!!

Redid my beds last year and burned everything. Went full HAM and did manure, mushroom compost, perlite and biochar. Hopefully after a year of rest everything should be good this year.

Yesterday I helped a friend tow his 1993 Kawasaki Vulcan and 2010 Kia Soul from their old place to their new place. Loaded up the Vulcan in the bed with the tailgate down, but to do that I had to drive up on blocks with the front to lower the tailgate height or the chassis would contact the tailgate and stop us. The bike wouldn't start so I used a couple ratchet straps to winch it into the bed.
- The rear of the JTW dropped about 2" after I loaded everything back in the bed (6 cinderblocks, toolbox, straps, and some other cargo. Definitely over payload as the Vulcan was about 700lbs alone.

Then hooked up the trailer and loaded the Soul onto it. MAN, do I need new springs! After I pulled the trailer stand up, the JTW dropped another 2-4" in the rear. The trailer jack (below the tongue) was maybe 3" off the ground, but luckily we were staying in town and below 35mph at most.

I forgot to get pics (yes I know shame shame), but man was it interesting to see. Good thing it was daylight out, or I'd get flashed like crazy with the amount of rear sag. My fog lights became my low beams.

For those losing their minds about "over loading", the transmission (manual) didn't skip a beat, the clutch never got hot or smelled, yes the 3.73 gearing was like driving a 70s truck with a 4 speed, no I didn't break anything, and no, the cops didn't bother me at all. Actually I got a couple waves. Just kept right and drove easy, you need to drive for the conditions as they say.

Made me wonder how it would have done with better gearing and stiffer progressive springs in the rear. The ride was much smoother than empty, but way slower haha.
Sometimes those heavy loads are necessary. But as you said. In town at slow speeds, and don’t do it every day, and you’ll be fine.

Retired. Finally !!
My wife and I decided we have TOO. MUCH. CRAP. We decided while WE consider it junk, it may help out others. So yesterday we loaded up the Jeep and donated a bunch. We could sell it, but neither of us can bother.

Some of it was brand-new-never-opened stuff my Amazon addicted wife purchased. She would buy it and put it aside "for when she's ready". Some packages were 4 years old. Unopened.

I got to use the bed of the Jeep for it's intended purpose.

When my first wifey past away. I went through her clothes. I found 88 pairs of shoes still in the boxes. Found dozens of clothes hanging up with the tags still on them. And she said that she had nothing to wear.

Where is that mine?
Nevada Scheelite Mine. According to most sources it ceased operations in 1959. There is an active claim on the site however.

The operator keeps his equipment in a quonset hut on the north end of the canyon. But the rest is open, just be careful, and courteous to the remains when you are there.

Some idiot had set up targets probably a week or two before we got there, so there were brass casings all over the place.

Passed about 50-60 rigs heading out to Tierra Del Sol. I was planning to go but gas jumped to over $5/gallon. Maybe next year. I didn’t get raffle tickets this year anyway. Pretty cool seeing all the Jeeps and Tacomas packed up like the Clampetts heading to Beverly Hills. Saw a couple Ranger Raptors heading out too. Don’t see too many of those. I travel one of the main arteries heading out to Anza Borrego every day.

Picked up 1700+ lbs of mulch and soil. I usually buy by the yard from the landscape supply store but they were closed and I needed it today. It’s really not sagging that bad for being past the payload. My Rubicon LE springs continue to impress me.
