I agree. I have more than a few things I’ve snagged from Amazon. I’ve also grabbed some other things thinking it was “this”, but it was actually “that”. Most of the time it still works out but hopefully most people are aware of that.

Not everything on Amazon is from China. A lot of legit off-road companies sell on Amazon; I try to frequent them to get free shipping.

But there IS a lot more China stuff than any other country.

Everything I've purchased so far has worked very well, even the stuff from (gasp) China.

Yeah I try to keep subscriptions to bare minimum. As in 1. Netflix. I only picked that up because we have 6 people in the house and Netflix only allows like 4 accounts so if everyone decides it’s a “boob tube” day I still want to be able to read my Asian dramas.

If you're into Asian "dramas" (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more, say no more), download Tubi. It free and they have some of the worst movies ever produced. But you HAVE to finish them no matter how horrible. Lots of action movies, some legit, some that looked like they were filmed with a 1990's camcorder. I have seen a few mainstream movies, but mostly I watch the B movies; they are hilarious.

Only drawback is each movie has 3-4 commercials. But it's free.

Nothing wrong with "Kung Fu Hustle". It's our traditional Christmas movie.

You're right, I gotta spin that one up again !!

Our Christmas movie is Full Metal Jacket. Whatever sappy Christmas DVD my wife picks, I sneak in FMJ. She started to get wise and one year she says, "Show me the DVD !!". I do, but unbeknownst to her, FMJ is under the movie she picked. I casually drop FMJ into the player tray and put her movie back in the box. LOL

We only get about 3 seconds of FMJ, but it's tradition. As soon as you start to hear the slide guitar and "Goodbye darling, hello Viet Nam", there is a resounding, "NO !!!".

Nah I like the dramas set back in the day. Just finished “Strategist Kanbe” on Netflix. Those kind are cool. I’ve been to a few of those places too when I was stationed in Japan so it’s fun to see how it all came about.

I got into telenovelas. I leave it in Spanish and read the subtitles. I tried the dubbing, but the voices do not match the actors by a long shot.

At first, I really got in La Reina del Sur. Only 3 seasons, I can handle that. Yeah, 3 seasons, but 60 episodes per season !! But I powered through.

Then watched Narcos. Then Narcos: Mexico (basically Part II)

Pretty much any cartel soap opera.....
