No pictures but a full size Tahoe that belonged to the crossing guard at the local elementary. She parked it in a field that flooded with all the rain we got and ended up digging her rear tires a foot in to the mud trying to get out.

Luckily I was able to throw on my agency 6 hitch recovery point on her SUV to give me something to tie to and then pulled it out nice and easy.

Also did a dump trip last week with some old couches

I used to accompany my father to the city landfill as a youth. One time I was looking through a pile of scrap and spied what I thought was a small air compressor sticking up. I pulled it out of the pile and got it home and it turned out to be most of a Maytag twin cylinder engine from the 30s. I found the parts I needed to restore it and had my first antique engine. Another trip out there was a complete lawn mower - a 2 stroke power product engine, good deck and wheels.
Dad let me use his shop and take it all apart and get it running. It was a great running little mower. I sold it for 25 bucks. The rest - well, I started a business, got into automotive later, still have that first Maytag twin along with some other Maytag engines, and a garage addition full of antique engines.

Be careful what you let your kids bring home - they may make money and end up being happy in a career.
That reminds me of my upbringing. But I was in to hobby grade RC cars. I was always on the lookout for cast away RC parts at flee markets and garage sales.

Nothing too impressive, just a winter project for my TJ. Found on Craigslist for free so I couldn’t pass it up as something to rebuild and have as a spare
