Me and a girlfriend were out on a trail and we kept smelling weed. I figured there were some plants nearby. Nope, we came up behind a Jeep and the driver and passsenger were passing one back and forth. 😆
🤣
Years and Years ago.... We were in Colorado at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre...... waiting in line outside for a Zac Brown concert. We started smelling weed.... We're from PA - so, not something we'd expect to smell especially when there's staff & police walking around. 😮.....After talking with other folks in-line (who were also perplexed) .......we found out that Colorado just recently made it legal.

POS cars driving near. Brakes squealing, oil burning, loud exhaust or backfiring. Sometimes they can really trick you!
I always roll down my windows to see “what’s making noise on my Jeep”. Stupid dump truck.

Had a sound like a ball or something rolling back and forth on the passenger's side up high. Looked randomly for over a year. Finally found the problem, a nut for a bolt in the rain gutter. I guess I dropped it working on roof rails.
I’ve done that too. All day on a trail in sand hollow. Thought my top was coming apart.

Grand Cherokee has electronic parking brakes. Most high-end SUV's have it. The parking brake will be a 'button' on the dash (not a pull handle like the gladdy has).

So, when you're using the AC in the Gladdy..... make sure you put your foot on the brake after it comes to a complete stop.
Always do. Our other two cars have electric e brakes. As did several before these.

That one hasn’t gotten me, but our first adaptive cruise was on another mopar, grand Cherokee. I’m guessing it was the same. My wife’s comes to a complete stop and will resume when cars move. This one disables itself.
Only after 2 seconds.
The BRAKES hold it - if the vehicle ahead starts moving within 2 seconds, it resumes speed.
If it does not, it cancels ACC and releases the brakes.
It's just how this is made. It could hold the position for 30 seconds since it's using the ABS system to hold position.

I've experienced both ways in mine - the vehicle ahead makes a short stop and turns, I go again, other times it cancels as the guy ahead doesn't go quickly enough.

Yep. I’ve used it at stops, but I don’t prefer it. If it won’t hold indefinitely, I just cancel cruise when coming to stops.

Yeah, I go for the bigger pedal and bring myself to a stop I control - that's my preference.
Trust but verify - I know it will do what I want with my foot there.

On my 2022 Rubicon JT, had a low speed rear end clunk/clank when feathering the throttle. Could easily duplicate it in a parking lot. Took diff cover off and checked my ring gear backlash and it was dead on middle of spec. Put in 75W-140 gear oil but it remained. Eventually took it in for a warranty claim visit and it was just the normal slop in the electric locker mechanism since if floats somewhat on the differential assembly. Dealership was cool and did not charge me for the visit.

Yesterday on my way home from the beach, I kept hearing a tick from the upper dash. I kept putting my hand on the speakers, phone mount, gps, and mounting hardware hoping to find what was vibrating. Yes, I was pissed off that something was causing this sound with 6000 miles on the odometer. Then I realized my handicap placard was laying across the windshield and the phone mount. Every bump in the road made it tick. I guess the placard is correct!

After a recent BOH trip and back on regular pavement, I kept hearing a clunk sound coming from the rear diff, it would happen if I got on the accelerator pedal a little heavy. If I took off slowly with my head out the window listing, I heard nothing. Windows back up and a normal take off the clunk was back. Turned out to be the hitch skid plate had a little slop and would make the clunking sound. DUHHH.

My 2022 was my first ever vehicle with start/stop. The first time it cutoff at a red light I seriously had a panic attack my new Jeep with 20 miles on it died.

My 2024 was the first with Adaptive Cruise Control. So piling on to that band wagon. I never care to read manuals and thought you had to turn on the regular cruise control first, then set the adaptive cruise control. As such, I believed for months my ACC wasn't working. I finally watched a video on the FCA site and realized the regular cruise control and ACC are independent and that I am a moron.

This one’s my favorite so far. I don’t even care if it’s true.
