Today here by the Jersey Shore, $3.44 for regular, $5.55 for diesel. Doesn't seem to make any financial sense why someone would want to run a diesel!

Today I saw differences from $1.25 all the way to $1.90 gas vs. diesel.
Diesel was from about 4 to over 5/gallon.
This was from our home E of Des Moines to Overland Park KS and back.

Finally filled up for under $5/gallon for the first time since I got the Jeep, maybe. I don't go out of the way for fuel though, whatever my local station is charging. And I really don't pay that much attention.

Today, that's $3.39 for 87, $4.86 diesel. South of the Twin Cities metro

Did you see my first post in this thread? Diesel has not ALWAYS been more expensive than gasoline, and my diesel on 37" tires with stock gears still gets 22-24mpg ... show me a gas JT on 37's on STOCK gears that gets anywhere close to that and I'll show you a BS flag 😜

Oh and not to mention how much more fun the diesel is to drive

In your opinion, of course.

Mine costs a whole lot less to drive so there ya go! ( zero need for 37s here)

Diesel is more different/higher this time of year because folks in the NE need to heat their homes. Pretty important to some families.

Enjoy your truck and how good it makes you feel when u tell everyone how superior it is.
LOL

At Sam's Club, today, it was $4.15 for regular and $4.96 for diesel. As I drove around, I saw diesel as high as $5.70 at a Chevron station. The Conoco across the street was about $0.40 lower.

That's typical for what we saw diesel for today - some was a bit over 5, but that's way over the most expensive gas we saw. It was from $2.88 up to about $3.20 or so.
That's a big difference in prices!

That's your opinion, and that's fine, but here in NJ, at this point in time, the difference in price per gallon of gasoline and diesel is a financial red flag. Adding in the extra cost of $4500 for the engine & transmission, it just tilts things that much more.

Shouldn’t the cost of Def fluid be taken into consideration with the diesel? How often does that need to be added and what is the impact when it runs out?
